Amon Amarth - The Crusher album cover

Wow! That was a real crush on me! Let me try to find the right way in order to describe the third attack of the Swedish Viking Death Metal warriors. Ok, imagine you are a poor soldier in light armor and you are holding a short sword. In the distance you can see some smoke and you can feel the ground shaking. When the smoke clears you can see a heavy cavalry unit charning towards you in heavy armor weilding spears, long swords, flails and other heavy weapons. After they are done with you, your pieces are all over the place. After that description someone can say two things. First of all you can't deny I have good fantasy and secondly you bet that I've heard the new Amon Amarth album.
This album is really fuckin' heavy and not very different from the two previous albums. You won't find much technique in their music but they play really amazing Death Metal. Devastating riffs invading your ears as Vikings did some centuries ago and thundering drums makes you believe that Thor is somewhere close, pounding his hammer! The production is amazing. Awesome. We have some guys who know how to play Death Metal and a production that kicks ass. What else does a Death Metal fan want god damnit. Britney Spears dead? Or even better, dead and naked!
What else? You need to hear more in order to get this album? Come on! You like Death Metal? I bet that if you are a die hard Death Metal fan, you own their older albums. They are already in the Death Metal elite and with ''The Crusher'' they set the base for something more. All hail to the kings of Death Metal.
