Alchemist are an Italian Thrash Metal band from Turin Piedmont. The band formed in 2019.2022 saw the band release two singles “Human Impurity” & “Wings Of Freedom”. In 2023 Alchemist released their first EP “Architecture Of Humanity” followed by “Alchemist” a demo in the same year.”Sacrifice” is their first full length album. Their inspiration for their music & lyrics comes from human feelings,nature,society & the new world order.

“Sacrifice” heavy from the first riff & drum beat is a mid tempo before launching into drum lead faster passage particularly the rhythm sections heavy bassline & drums. There's definitely an old school style thrash & speed metal sound to Alchemist.”Nevermore?” carries on the fast paced momentum. There is lots of fierce guitar riffs and solos throughout the album with a very strong bassline which is very prominent at times high in the mix,lots of fast paced drum & double bass & very dynamic too with “Turning Upside” track number three being a perfect example.”Deception Of...” is one of two instrumental pieces on this album which is a gritty affair again a deep bass line accompanied by some slower drum & guitar work,the other “Butterfly” is an acoustic passage of music with an organ interlaced in some parts of the track,a great guitar technical piece.”The Alchemist” & “She Sells Death” are old school thrash and the obvious influence from the mighty Megadeth is there for all musically to hear, but particularly vocally Alessandro Gargivolo's resemblance to Dave Mustaine is uncanny but Alessandro has more of a raw & edgier style to his vocals.”In A Natural Way” ends this eight track album very much as the album started high energy , fierce with some great technical ability in the guitar and rhythm melodies.

Alchemist deliver a solid old school style Thrash Metal debut album with “Sacrifice”.Hopefully the band can build on the back of this release gain more exposure and moving forward land a record deal. My only complaint is that the album is fairly short only eight tracks and just over 30 minutes in length. If you like thrash metal old school you are Megadeth fan then this album is right up your street. A solid debut for Alchemist to build upon with their next release.
