This is my first encounter with 3 HEADED SNAKE, a Power / Heavy Metal band grom Los Angeles. After their self-titled EP in 2018 they have given us some singles, but as I mentioned, they have never reached my ears. At the end of 2025 they released another single, "Catharsis". And to say that it is okay is a certain way of not giving it the credit it is due.

Musically you can classify 3 HEADED SNAKE  as following; take the ultimate power that a band like MALICE always portrayed, the compelling nature that JUDAS PRIEST is capable of and combine it with the vocal qualities that QUEENSRŸCHE is well known for. The fact is that this combination does work wonders, and the addition of Dutch female powerhouse vocalist Marieke Bresseleers of LORDS OF ACID fame proves to be a very smart move.

As for the song itself, there's nothing wrong with "Catharsis". It has all the hallmarks of a very good band playing an outstanding song. And yes, having a perfect production does help in this case. I sincerely hope that 3 HEADED SNAKE will go on to record a full length album, because even if the music is only half as good as what the band shows on "Catharsis", I will definitely be interested.
