From the start of the night not much of a crowd was to be seen at the front of Nottingham's premier Rock venue, headlining the basement stage was metal core group WITH ONE LAST BREATH playing their penultimate show of their 5 date tour. Joining them throughout the UK are local Post Hardcore act VIOLET from Derby and ME IN A MILLION who set sail on their first UK tour with both the bands. The show is a must for anyone who likes the new breed of Metalcore such as ASKING ALEXANDRIA, THE WORD ALIVE and CROWN THE EMPIRE.

First on stage is German six piece ME IN A MILLION who play to a small crowd who slowly got bigger but the crowd size certainly didn't get them down as they got the crowd jumping by the 3rd song with their constant energetic stage antics, including standing on the bar whilst pulling out breakdowns on the guitar. Vocalists Julian Coles and Luke Conrad have great contrast when performing vocals together, whilst Luke gets more involved with the crowd Julian holds the rest of the band together when most needed. ME IN A MILLION is a band to watch for within the new scene of bands emerging throughout Europe.

Whilst ME IN A MILLION suit the theme of the night, VIOLET certainly have a much more easy going edge to them, the local band had a slightly larger crowd than the previous with few diehard fans making an appearance and singing along to their lyrics, vocalists Jordan Samuel and Charlie Bass have very different vocal styles, with Jordan having very high vocals which gives the melodic edge to the band whilst Charlie provides the much lower vocals with an added harsh vocal range whilst he dances round the stage. VIOLET played new and old songs such as ''Perspectives'' and ''The Lust'' which went down a treat with new and old fans watching them in Rock City basement.

The last band of the night is Yorkshire Metalcore group WITH ONE LAST BREATH who bring a much more heavier vibe to the night and get the crowd jumping rapidly, playing a mix of new songs from their newest release ''The Fearless Ones'' and their previous release ''Wake The Dead'' which are certainly crowd pleases for the fans.  All of the band are full of energy and show no signs of wear even on the penultimate night of their UK tour, vocalist Sam Graves vocals are on top form when hitting highs and lows whilst screaming lyrics at the audience, bassist Joe Lancaster is the most energetic of all when swinging his bass around his body before rocking out again. WITH ONE LAST BREATH perform a great show but with a small audience when they deserve a much larger crowd.

Overall the show was great apart from the lacking crowd, all bands had something special about them and you should be watching out for all three of them within their respective sub genre's. VIOLET felt a bit odd in between two much heavier acts but neither the less they still pulled off a great show.
