GLORYHAMMER: RONNIE JAMES DIO STAGE
If you like power metal and space, then GLORYHAMMER was the band to watch at Bloodstock. The band had a medium sized crowd that slowly grew during the set when people realised how much power they had in their sound, even if you didn't like the genre of power metal you couldn't help but find the bands music catchy. Songs like ''Legends Of The Astral Hammer'' got the crowd jumping and singing along with their beers and swords. GLORYHAMMER know how to put on one hell of a show which is super hard to miss.
One of the most hyped about bands of the weekend is EVIL SCARECROW and if you saw the 2014 footage of their set it's easy to see why. The crowd is full of inflatable crabs and tinfoil hats well before they're set to play the main stage but the fun starts when the band bounce on the stage with space hoppers!
The pinnacles of the set are ''Robotron'' and ''Crabulon'' which are classics to fans and new people hearing the band; who doesn't want to see hundreds of people scuttling in a field? EVIL SCARECROW premiered a new track called ''Hurricanado'' to the festival, which went down a treat.
By this point in the day it's roasting hot and the fans are eager to hear great music, next on stage is american rockers CORROSION OF CONFORMITY fronted by reunited vocalist Pepper Keenan. Their set is full of non-stop riffs and headbanging with songs such as ''Albatross'' and ''Clean My Wounds''. Guitarist Woodroe Weatherman is a true lord of the riffs on stage whilst swinging his guitar everywhere. CORROSION OF CONFORMITY is a truly timeless band to just rock out to and their reunion is the best they've ever sounded.
BEHEMOTH crashed into Bloodstock to a huge crowd awaiting to hear acclaimed album ''The Satanist'' in full and they delivered it. Plenty of fire, roars and pits during their sub headline set which could have easily headlined the festival. Opening with songs such as ''Blow Your Trumpets Gabriel'' and ending with ''Ov Fire And The Void'' making it a near perfect set which many wished was longer. BEHEMOTH always put on one hell of a stage show that cannot be copied by any other band, ''The Satanist'' was a great album to play to a crowd dying to hear it live.
''Forty Years and Fuck It'' is the best way to describe TWISTED SISTER'S last show in the UK. The band which have taken over the world with their hard hitting music say their final good byes as the headliners of Bloodstock to a huge crowd. Vocalist Dee Snyder is jumping and rolling around the stage like it's the first show they ever played; Mike Portnoy has also done a great job on drums filling in for deceased member A.J Pero. The setlist was crammed full of hits to celebrate the bands time together with tunes such as ''Destroyer'', ''I Wanna Rock'', ''You Can't Stop Rock And Roll'' and ''We're Not Gonna Take It''. The band maybe over now but they've sure gone out with style like they always did.
