On this date on the eve of full moon where this one was the closest to the planet Earth ever, Limeira had a very special evening, all with sexy Metal ladies with the microphone on their hands, and nothing less than Leather Leone to lead the pack, this American legend, a queen of the 80's has returned to claim her throne, after ruling with RUDE GIRL, CHASTAIN, SLEDGE LEATHER now she returns as a solo singer ready to kick asses, and to give her a very warm welcome three bands with female vocals were selected, FIRE STRIKE and BREAKOUT from Sao Paulo and EXHORTATION from Campinas.
 

The first band to give the welcome was EXHORTATION the more extreme band of the night playing Death / Thrash in your face. They were formed in 2007 and have already one full length album under their belt entitled "The Essence Of Apocalypse" and their set was based on that album, total apocalypse, unfortunately just a week prior to this concert they had parted ways with their bass player and a replacement was not possible to find in time, but nonetheless that was no reason to stop them unleashing their hate upon us, the set begun with "The Bitter Praise" fast song and harsh vocals, Mille Petroza style  by Vicky,  this girl has tones of energy and can blast away any enemy with her endless energy. "Final Theory" apocalypse is here, Billy and Renato were working overtime on the guitar and drums to make up for the bass loss and they did a great job there. EXHORTATION is about extreme music, their set is pure energy, a bulldozer out on the loose, tonight they showed us a great deal of professionalism and respect with the fans, even with one man down they went out there and put an amazing fight, a very good show indeed, you guys are doing the right thing and deserve all success, Vicky, Renato and Billy well done!!

Next on stage was a band from Sao Paulo BREAKOUT a band formed in 2010 and having a 80's style all the way. Influenced by JUDAS, NWOBHM and so on, and very importantly dressing up accordingly with that era with tidy Lycra pants, leather shoes, and leather jackets and bullets belts.
 

The set opened with "Eyes Of Evil" a very good song with sharp guitars and killer solos and Maira singing beautifully, great vocals indeed and she looks great on stage wearing black leather and kicking asses. "Nothing To Lose" yes the crowd going crazy, singing along. There were even a drum solo by Lucas Borges and a guitar show off by Fabs great stuff, everyone was in ecstasy when they played "If Heaven Is Hell" by TOKYO BLADE excellent cover indeed.

BREAKOUT delivered a very good performance, lots of energy, charisma and Maira, Lucas, Carlos and Fabs have picked up a theme and a living in that golden era and doing an amazing job, it did really felt like being in the 80's, congratulations!!!

At this time the crowd was windy up, two good bands already played and the amount of beers consumed, well now it was time for FIRESTRIKE another band from Sao Paulo playing classic Heavy Metal, formed in 2005 they have released few Demos and an EP called "Lion And Tiger" and they have an amazing singer called Aline Nunes, the girl with a golden throat, and she can sing like a maniac, very aggressive vocals indeed and their set was opened with "True As A Dream" and that's exactly what they are, I mean true to their roots, good music made by good musicians, great riffs, killers solos and Jean hitting the skins like a maniac. "Night Fever"  another classic, FIRE STRIKE have come from a long way, on early days they were called HOLE OF HELL but now with the addition of Aline Nunes on vocals the band have been transformed hugely, for much better really, instrumentally they are very good as well, the guitars sound good and bass lines too.
 

"Screaming For Vengeance" by JUDAS and "Die In The Night" by EXCITER are two great songs to be covered and FIRE STRIKE do them very well, Aline vocals are just fucking good, I had seen them once before in Sao Paulo but the place they played was not very good, but this time it was different, Bar Da Montanha has an amazing infra structure and sounding is very good, so it was a very good performance by FIRE STRIKE, excellent band overall, charisma and stage behaviour and Aline is really a great star with a great future ahead of her!!

LEATHER LEONE was next and she was ready to kick some goddamn asses. I was really looking forward to meeting her, and I did, she is an amazing person, very friendly, charismatic, humble, warm and sympathetic, what a woman and what a great singer, for us it was great honour to have her here in Limeira, big thanks to Rodrigo Scelza for having brought her to Brazil and to Edson Moraes to Limeira.
 

At this time everyone was very excited, all the waiting was over, she came on and delivered "Ruler Of The Wasteland" followed by "Fighting To Stay Alive" excellent songs and  it was only the beginning, Leather was full of energy, talking with the crowd all the time, even trying to say some words in Portuguese, the crowd really loved her, the musicians she picked to join her were also amazing, Daemon Ross on the guitars played his guitar so perfectly, the riffs and the solos, amazing, Bruno Masquito on the bass did an killer performance I could see his fingers destroying that bass and playing to perfection and Andre Andrade on the drums, what a player he is, I have never seen drum player like this guy, he is so crazy and technical and does some amazing tricks and hit the drums like no one, amazing bunch of guys and awesome people, very friendly and charismatic as well.
 

It was a fucking great show, Leather Leone rules, she sings like no one else I have ever seen, actually I could say that she reminded me of Dio powerful and aggressive vocals, yet so melodic, I want some more and more, please come back. We have had some good shows in Limeira, this one is up there, her voice is so amazing and all the songs kick asses, the crowd went home asking for more, I really hope she continues doing what she does best, Leather you are one of a kind, you rule!!!
