First introduction to Kreator was their latest album Enemy Of God (2004, SPV Records), which absolutely blew me away. Then about a year later I had the pleasure of having them in my town and to say the least, I was ecstatic. Then after looking closer at the date, I realized it was my 22nd birthday. How awesome is that? Well, unfortunately for me none of my friends like Kreator so I ventured alone. However, I did a plus one to get someone else into the concert with me that would have gone to waste if it had not been for the homeless guy I spoke with outside the venue. Apparently he has been listening to Kreator since '87, so I am glad that I was able to make his night. When we arrived inside, I was very surprised by the attendance. I was definitely glad to know that they had at least somewhat of a following here.

Also unfortunately for me and my homeless companion, Napalm Death and generic Metalcore bands were opening but I only wanted to see Kreator so time of entrance was late. We did happen to catch about 4 songs of Napalm Death which was rather unfortunate. The music and vocals were just awful.

Finally Kreator took the stage with a full light show and everything which made the show that much better. They opened with the title cut from their latest album, which absolutely destroyed. Then they played another song that I was familiar with, ?Impossible Brutality?, which got people stage diving and crowd surfing; it was great. Now even though I wasn?t very familiar with the rest of the set except for Coma Of Souls, it didn?t mean that Kreator didn?t kick my ass. I had serious Metal neck the next day. Oh, I almost forgot about the encore, Flag Of Hate!!!! Holy bejesus, this was the track that made everyone in the whole place go nuts from front to back, side to side, everyone was chanting and putting horns in the air. Truly breathtaking. Kreator put on an excellent concert, so if you have a chance to see them on this tour, you better fucking be there.
