To say that I was looking forward to this concert is freaking under estimate to say the least. I absolutely love Evergrey they are one of my favorite bands ever and Nevermore is up there. Throwdown on the other hand can rot in crappy Metalcore hell and In Flames I like as well, but as not as much as Evergrey or Nevermore.

I walked into Evergrey already playing thanks to the stupid ass security arguing with me about my alleged photo pass. Now the exact order of the songs I am not clear on, but I know they played Monday Morning Apocalypse, She Speaks To The Dead, A Touch Of Blessing, Obedience, and Blinded. Every song was flawless and absolutely blew me away. I was yelling every lyric to every song with my beer in the air. I was actually quite surprised by the number of people singing along with me because where I live it isn't exactly a music mecca so their p.r. people must be doing something right. I also got to speak with Tom the singer and buy him a beer. Evergrey's performance had to be one of the best I will ever see in my town.

Next up was Nevermore and I have seen Nevermore before, but not since Warrel got sober so I didn't really know what to expect. They played a couple of my favorite tracks by them such as Enemies Of Reality and Dead Heart In A Dead World. Warrel was either going back on his sobriety or he was just having one hell of a good time. He must crowd surfed like 8 times in freaking 6 songs, he was going fucking nuts. I also thought his vocals were a little off, but it was to my understanding that he had been sick. They also included the tracks Final Product and finished with Born. Overall a smashing performance not as good as Evergrey, but Evergrey was Ever-Freaking-Grey.

Then there was the blemish on Metal that is Throwdown, so I exited. Finally In Flames was set to take the stage. I had also previously seen In Flames, but it was like 4 years ago so I was expecting a set very different from the one I saw before. I wasn't overly familiar with their newer material and that's what they opened with for like 20 minutes. Though because I went outside during Throwdown my ideal viewing spot was gone and I couldn't see shit. I left about after about 45 min., but I did get to hear one song that I totally knew which was Pinball Map. I was also surprised that they played a song of Lunar Strain, the name of which I escapes me. The other songs I did hear were very solid and from what I could see which wasn't much they owned the stage quite well.
