Hell has come from outside the world, HYPOCRISY hit the Colombian stages once again, and this time I was able to go to enjoy one of the best shows in 2014. For the first time I entered as a journalist, which I want to thank Steinmetal and Marcos Garcia for helping out to confirm it with Adriana of Hypo that co-produced the show. I arrived from my job, rushed into the show, but as always, something strange happened, I was supposed to go alone, then my cousin was there, and thank hell he was, his photos were the best.
Finally we entered to the show, "End of Disclosure" was hitting the stage, and the people around were becoming one with the screams, demons came along, aliens all over the public, and my feeling of realizing something that couldn't be achieved for many years. The energy given by HYPOCRISY was indescribable, as far as I can say, there are no bad songs from them, just pure fucking Death Metal, the people around me was given in a total haze to the band, we felt we were destroying the world, and for 16 songs, all around was blocked, nothing could came in or came out. Formed by the brains of Peter Tägtgren, the band is always on the top of the list, and this time was proven without the shadow of a doubt, "Fractured Millennium" made the place almost fall, among harsh voices, silent screams, and a synchronized headbang that returned me to the best years of my life.
After several songs, one of the evening's climax moments arrived, "Fire In The Sky" was chanted by everyone inside, like if we were put together for days to get it learned, getting the people to one of the highest levels, and making worth every drop of sweat shed to that moment. The classics just came down one by one, "Pleasure of Molestation / Osculum Obscenum / Penetralia" was the mix for the hardest of the fans, and believe me, it's like everyone there, was a fan since 1992. Some old shit, some middle and some new keep coming, with no rest, with no chance of retreat, and after chant by chant, people given to the band, a Colombian flag on the stage, the song that has marked HYPOCRISY for years (not making the best one): "Roswell 47" started among the darkness and smoke, like these aliens were never to return, the attendance was nuts to the point of chanting each and every single word, 700 people or more, asking and giving all, sometimes the magic becomes fire and returned to what once was, an amazing song.
The final song "Eraser" closed one of the best shows that have been put into Colombian lands, like always promising to return, and believe me, if they do one day, I will return too, to cover one of the best bands along the metal world, just for the sake of my satisfaction. I want to thank to my cousin Diego Pulido, for being there, taking amazing shots, and making a memorable moment.
