The concert at Bar Da Montanha was a very special one with two bands that need no introduction whatsoever, two icons, two bands that have been around since time begun, PICTURE and GRIM REAPER. The crowd attending to the concert was very interesting, a mix of all ages, the older ones and the new generation all joined forces for the same purpose; i.e. Metal. It was a chilly evening but that was not a reason to put the moods down and the bands arrived at the venue on good moods too, I mean considering that they came to Limeira from Rio De Janeiro where they played on the night before and then have to travel 600kms by van, so I have to take my hat off in their honour.
Anyways, it was time, and the crowd did not really know who was going to play first but I do not think they were too worried about it anyhow, and ladies and gentlemen behold, from The Netherlands please welcome PICTURE. Yes the crowd went crazy and by this time they were ready to explode, PICTURE look so cool on stage, leather and Metal and they begun their onslaught with "Griffons Guard The Gold" and if that was not enough to shake the crowd hear our "Message From Hell". Pete Lovell really knows how to handle the crowd and things get hotter when he announces "Diamond Dreamer" and their kept going better and better, it was like a dream coming true, just to think that these Metal Gods are here in our town doing what they do best. Our "Heavy Metal Ears" couldn't believe, "Warhorse" riding through the "Shadows Of The Damned" and it didn't not matter if you were "Unemployed". PICTURE was right there and they really knew what they were doing. It was an amazing showmanship by these Dutch legends, a very lively performance, a great display of power and charisma.

Well after that amazing show, we had some more things happening, it was not over yet, GRIM REAPER was to be next and that was like overkill, but nobody was complaining. Mr. Grimmett and his new crew were ready to make us meet our maker. I have to say I had the chance to see him performing in 2012 in Germany with THE SANITY DAYS and I knew exactly what to expect from him. GRIM REAPER, one of my favourite bands from the eighties, kicked off their set with "Rock You To Hell", one of my favourite songs, yes the crowd sang along and I had goose bumps all over. "Night of The Vampire" was next, GRIM REAPER ruled the moment, the crowd was having an orgasm, back in the day I would have never imagined that in time this great band from England would be playing right here. "Lust For Freedom", a thing that is what everyone wants, right? Feel the "Wrath Of The Reaper" and "Fear No Evil" because it is going to be "Now Or Never".
We can consider ourselves very luck and blessed by the Gods Of Heavy Metal for having the honour of have had these two special bands playing in our town. People have travelled from far away, it has come to my attention that one girl travelled 48hours by bus only to attend to this show, that is amazing, and I had the privilege to hang around with both bands and I can say that they are simply a bunch of great dudes, very friendly, very fascinating. After the show they took the time to take pictures with all the fans, one by one and also signed all their CDs, after six hours from Rio De Janeiro by van and played a gig afterwards and still have time and respect for all the fans. Hats off for them again,
PICTURE and
GRIM REAPER simply rule.
GRIM REAPER played all the classics and even had time to honour Ronnie James Dio with "Do Not Talk To Strangers" and "Wasted Your Love" was not an option because I will "See You In Hell" my friend. Many thanks to Bar Da Montanha, Silvio Rocha and Open Road Productions, yet again another great job.
