Chevelle, Asking Alexandria, Dead Poet Society

CHEVELLE brought down the house for a sold out show at The Criterion in Oklahoma City, hot off the release of their latest album "Bright As Blasphemy." Opening for the iconic rock band were ASKING ALEXANDRIA and DEAD POET SOCIETY.
DEAD POETY SOCIETY is absolutely a band to check out if you are a fan of the other two bands on this tour. I, unfortunately, hadn't heard of them prior to this tour announcement, but count me as a fan now. The energy is incredible and the music is perfect for people who like rock music that is unique and fresh. I definitely felt like they were great for this tour as someone who is a huge CHEVELLE fan. They have the same kind of vibe and uniqueness I enjoy about this type of rock music and they have made something completely their own. Their performance solidifies them as a band keeping modern rock music alive and well.

ASKING ALEXANDRIA brings the energy — they ARE the energy! They put on an exciting and fun show, and the Oklahoma City crowd was absolutely loving it! They're a stand out opener for a band like CHEVELLE, having also formed in the early 2000s. Their stage presence is remarkable and there's not a moment in their entire set where fans weren't having a blast. This was my first time seeing them live and I would certainly jump on the chance to catch them again if the opportunity presented itself. They are ALWAYS welcome in Oklahoma!
CHEVELLE is one of those bands that has a significant amount radio hits and they've been putting out incredible albums since the early 2000s. They're still releasing great music and selling out shows after all this time. Their live performance is something to behold and the devotion and energy of the band's fans is a sight to witness, too. Crowd surfers were going over the rail in waves and it seemed like the entire crowd knew the all of the words to all of the songs, screaming them as loudly as possible. There's no denying the impact CHEVELLE has had on modern rock music and there's no denying their staying power. They will be around making music and touring as long as they want to be, and fans will continue to show up and show out.
