It has been a turbulent year but the all mighty BELPHEGOR start their over due UK tour tonight in Sheffield, supporting them are ETHEREAL, HATE and VITAL REMAINS. The Austrian band played a successful set at Bloodstock in August earlier this year which has surely brought them new fans from afar to bring them to the shows. Tonight's show is in the smaller room of Corporation in Sheffield but it's still expected to be heavy.

ETHEREAL hit the stage covered in corpse paint and bringing the heavy noise with them. The set starts off flow but with vocalist Naut's eccentric stage presence it isn't long till the gathering of metalheads are head banging along to the bands set. The Liverpool band are certainly one to check out if they come to a venue near you, especially if you love the extreme side of music especially black metal.

One of the most impressive bands of the night were HATE  who had fans waiting for their super heavy set and had a wave of headbanging by the end. On the back of their amazing release ''Crusade Zero'' they played crushing songs from the album, vocalist ATF Sinner has crushing vocals and knows how to get the crowd going and drummer Pavulon's drumming is enough to crush anyone's soul. This is simply a band you must listen to at all costs.

Next up is VITAL REMAINS who have the pits going in the tiny venue in the first song, and have got a solid fan base watching them. Vocalist Brian Werner is all over the stage and on the floor encouraging fans to pit and get involved which proves successful with metalheads flying all over the pit. The setlist features songs such as ''Dechristianize'', ''Icons of Evil'' which gave the short but sweet set it's mighty punch. The bands performance proves that death metal will never die and the band are stronger than ever.

Last on is the almighty band we've all been waiting for, BELPHEGOR who are surrounded by dim lighting, skulls and covered in fake blood. The set comprises of deathly growls and heavy notes from Helmuth and Serpenth when playing songs such as ''Conjuring The Dead'', ''Gasmask Terror'' with the crowd headbanging away to every blast beat

The stage maybe small but the band still knows how to pack a punch like they did at Bloodstock earlier this year, a definitely must see for all death & black metal fans.
