After some years of intense waiting, it was finally time for BEHEMOTH to come and conquer Rio de Janeiro lands for the first time. And as opening acts, two home based bands: TELLUS TERROR (who opened their show on São Paulo a day ago) and GANGRENA GASOSA.

After some brief preparations, TELLUS TERROR came to the stage and started the conquest at the ending of the afternoon.

Besides Felipe Borges (vocals) had some problems before the show with his throat due the cold air inside the bus on the return from São Paulo to Rio de Janeiro, he made a very good show, singing and with a better attitude on the stage than on Saturday, keeping good communication with the public, making his a very good front man. Álvaro Faria (guitars, backing vocals), along with Arthur Chebec (bass guitar, backing vocals) and Wéderson "The Impaler" Félix (guitars) kept a good attitude and played perfectly their instruments. Ramon Montenegro (keyboards, synths, clean voices) was perfect on his playing and showed again a good attitude, and Ali Ahmed Ghazzaoni (drums) showed himself a machine, precise, playing heavy and with excellent technique.

They were releasing their album "EZ Life DV8" on their home land, showing their MMS (Mixed Metal Styles) to their audience, who became insane in many moments, especially on songs like "Bloody Vision" and "Civil Carnage". They were about to leave the stage, but the public called their name, and they played "3rd Rock From the Sun". And we can say that their show was better than in São Paulo, with more energy, maybe due their union to overcome Felipe's problem or for being on their home. It doesn't matter, and they made their best (and made many people close their mouths).

These guys are great, and will go furthermore than many…

And as TELLUS TERROR left, the roadies came and make preparations for the second band, GANGRENA GASOSA.

Their musical work, called "Saravá Metal" has many fans, and can be described as a mix between the furious Hardcore/Crossover from RATOS DE PORÃO and some elements from Brazilian regional music and their visual reminds from Brazilian Afro religions.

Ok, your Ol' Big Daddy here can understand that many people don't like their work, but Zé Pelintra (vocals), Omulu (vocals), Exu Caveira (guitars), Pomba Gira Maria Mulambo (percussion), Caboclo Sete Flechas (percussion), Exu Tranca Rua da Almas (bass guitar) and Exu Mirim (drums) is excellent and has a lot of value for itself, and always gains more and more fans.

Zé Pelintra and Omulu do not stop on entire show, singing and putting the public in riot with very good songs as "Se Deus é Dez, Satanás é 666", "Matou a Galinha e Foi ao Cinema", and "Cambonos From Hell", all of them in Brazilian Portuguese, but the lyrics cannot be taken seriously, but it's good to have some laughs from time to time (even me, who isn't a fan of humor on Metal laughed a lot).

Very good show, and everyone must have an experience of seeing their show once in a lifetime.

Finally, all GANGRENA GASOSA equipment was taken out of the stage, and preparations were done.

Light's out, and so we could see Nergal (vocals, guitars) entering the stage with two torches, and them after throwing them aside, he, along with Seth (guitars), Orion (bass guitar) and Inferno (drums) started to play "Blow Your Trumpets Gabriel", hypnotizing and conquering the audience.

Finally, BEHEMOTH was on Rio de Janeiro for their first time, starting their conquest!

Even being their third show in three days, they still have lots of energy, great attitude on stage and their theatrical elements were back again, as the incense, blood spiting and all the stuff, as they played their hymns as "Conquer All", "Decade of Therion" ("You know the worlds! Sing them to me, Rio!" asked Nergal, and everyone shouted APO PANTHOS KAKODAIMONOS with them), and "Slaves Shall Serve".

And preceding "Christians to the Lions", Nergal, as done before on Gdynia (Poland), he torn apart a little bible, making a talk about freedom. And the musical massacre kept on.

"Ov Fire and Void", "Alas, Lord is Upon Me" and the classic "At the Left Hand ov God" were played and drove the public insane, and after "Chant for Eschaton 2000", they left the stage.

But the public asked for more, and they came back and played "O Father, O Satan, O Sun!", and on the last part of the song, they used the masks we saw on the video for "Blow Your Trumpets Gabriel", and were hailed for the audience.
