First on the stage is British black metal group WINTERFYLLETH who started out with a small crowd due to the early set time but there was a small bunch of dedicated fans in the audience head banging away to every song performed. Vocalist Christopher Naughton's vocals were just as good as they were on CD and lead guitarist Mark Wood interacted with the crowd well between songs.
The band played songs such as ''Over Borderlands'', '' The Swart Raven'' and ''The Divination of Antiquity'' but the crowd were super happy once they performed there most popular song ''Whisper of The Elements'' which won over the new fans and had the older fans singing the words along. WINTERFYLLETH are one of the best bands who have come to the limelight in 2014 and everyone has high hopes of them for 2015 if they keep on going with how they are now.
Setlist:
1. Over Borderlands
2. The Swart Raven
3. The Divination Of Antiquity
4. Whisper Of The Elements
The crowd certainly got more compact for the next band on stage, GRAND MAGUS, which had the crowds cheering as soon as they entered the stage. The trio are a must see band live due to their unique stage presence, vocalist JB's voice is so unique and suits GRAND MAGUS's sound so well, along with bassist Fox and Ludwig who power through the night with force. Songs featured in the setlist were ''I, The Jury'', ''Like The Oar Strikes The Water'', ''Steel Versus Steel'' and finishing off with ''Baptised In Fire'' which had the fans shouting along to every word said which certainly overwhelmed the band. Overall GRAND MAGUS's set was too short for the size of the band and it left fans hungry for more of the Swedish metal.
1. I, The Jury
2. Like The Oar Strikes The Water
3. Steel Versus Steel
4. Triumph and Power
5. Hammer Of The North
Next up is highly anticipated DECAPITATED who had people head banging in sync by the time ''Veins'' had begun playing and vocalist Rafal Piotrowski was jumping all over the stage. No matter where you was in the venue you felt the full force of the polish metal band, playing a majority of songs from new album from ''Blood Mantra'' with the songs more aggressive than ever.
Songs featured in the short yet loud set were ''Pest'', ''Exiled In Flesh'', ''The Blasphemous Psalm To The Dummy God Creation'', ''Blood Mantra'' and finishing with newly released ''Instinct'' which flawlessly finished their set but some fans were disappointed at the lack of fan favourite tracks such as 'Spheres of Madness'' and ''Day 69''. All members of the band were getting involved in the crowd and shouting along the lyrics, it's great to see that after many bad times that the band are still passionate about the music.
Setlist:
1. Veins
2. The Blasphemous Psalm To The Dummy God Creation
3. Blood Mantra
4. Pest
5. Exiled In Flesh
6. Instinct
Finally after a lengthy wait the metal titans BEHEMOTH enter the stage to ''Blow Your Trumpets Gabriel'' which got the audience throwing the horns with Nergal enchanting the crowd before him. The set was great but it was missing out on the pyrotechnics which would have made it into the usual spectacular show it is but the crowd energy certainly made up for it. Orion and Seth conquered bass and guitar whilst entertaining the audience with their backing vocals and posing for the crowds whilst Inferno blast beated away the night especially when performing super heavy track ''Slaves Shall Serve''.
The set was great for old fans and new with songs such as ''Ov Fire And The Void'', ''Ora Pro Nobis Lucifer'', ''Conquer All'', ''At The Left Hand Ov God'' and many more but the encore was what blew everyone away with ''O Father O Satan O Sun''. The whole night went without any mistakes, flawless in every sense with Nergal's vocals being the best it has in years and showing that despite constant touring and battling demons in the past he still has his signature style of playing to make him the king of Blackened Death Metal.
Setlist:
1. Blow Your Trumpets Gabriel
2. Ora Pro Nobis Lucifer
3. Conquer All
4. Decade Of Therion
5. As Above So Below
6. Slaves Shall Serve
7. Christians To The Lions
8. The Satanist
9. Ov Fire And The Void
10. Furor Divinus
11. Ludzie Wschodu
12. Alas, Lord Is Upon Me
13. Chant For Eschaton 2000
14. O Father O Satan O Sun!
Overall the show was great even with the lack of pyrotechnics brought by the band but they showed what they can do with the basics. With the support bands, all could do with around 10 minutes more to please the fans and the newer audience viewing them especially with the likes of WINTERFFYLLETH and DECAPITATED. BEHEMOTH are THE band of 2014 and anyone who doubted them was proved wrong tonight.
