Vikings, metal and beer. What more could you want? Well that's the whole package tonight at The Underworld in Camden town. Swedish vikings AMON AMARTH have invaded the small venue to a sold out crowd hungry for music. Tonight is the UK release show for new album ''Jomsviking'', which is based on an infamous caste of Viking mercenaries and it's one of their heaviest albums to date.
The band approach the stage and begin playing ''The Persuit Of Vikings'' to get the ecstatic crowd even rowdier, the crowd singing so loud you can barely hear the band.
Vocalist Johan Hegg's face throughout the set explains how the band feels about the evening, they're all super excited to play to a sold out venue of hardcore fans who've made the adventure and so they play a setlist of new tracks and fan favourites such as ''First Kill'', ''Deciever Of The Gods'', ''Runes To My Memory'' and more.
Guitarists Olavi Mikkonen and Johan Soderberg are blasting out riffs that are heavier enough to get a neck injury from, proving that this is a show not to be missed by anyone.
New touring drummer Jocke Wallgren has fitted in perfectly in the band, not missing a single beat when playing with the group. The set ends on ''Guardians Of Asgard'' and ''Twilight Of The Thundergod'' which has the vikings of the venue going crazy for AMON AMARTH, providing a perfect ending to the heaviest night of the year.
