On Friday, April 3rd THE RETICENT will be releasing the first recording in four years. Those who know the work of THE RETICENT are aware of what to be prepared for.

THE RETICENT has finally finished the much-anticipated follow-up to 2016 album "On the Eve of a Goodbye". The 5th album "The Oubliette" is another gripping and emotionally challenging progressive metal masterpiece created by Chris Hathcock.

THE RETICENT's "The Oubliette '' is a stunning concept album that deals with the harsh reality of Alzheimer's from every perspective of those whom it affects. as well it's an attempt to help bring more awareness to this tragic disease. Working with engineer/producer Jamie King, known for his work with Between the Buried and Me, Hathcock has created his most ambitious project yet using multi-layers of musical styles, guest musicians and working with a live orchestra. The album has many facets both in composition and emotionally leaving the listener at a struggling disadvantage to even find the words to describe "The Oubliette" effect. It is even more power for those who this terrible affliction has somehow affected.

As of now due to the current climate affected by COVID-19 the release date for THE RETICENT "The Oubliette" is on hold with hopes that it will see release in mid-2020.

Meanwhile, THE RETICENT are releasing a special track and video, the first recording in four years, on Friday, April 3rd. The arrangement and visuals are sure to affect all who look and perhaps open the eyes of some who refuse to see.
