Someone in Second Sun had scrawled "STEAL THE TEMPO FROM MOONSHAKE BY CAN !!!" on a piece of paper. From that sentence the band formed their new single "Noll Respekt". The single showcases a new side of Second Sun takes several steps towards hard rock, folk and prog rock and the influences are more diverse then on their previous releases. The song have a melodically and seductive side that lures the listener with its charm. "Noll Respekt" is the first single from the bands new album set for release in the autumn of 2018 on Gaphals.

Jakob Ljungberg comments on their new sound and approach: "A Second Sun that not only treats topics of 'Poor me, everything is really very difficult for me' anymore, but also other classical existential issues such as 'People DO really behave idotically constantly'. Musically, it's a new start for a more adventurous band that broadens the horizons a little more and has a bigger palette than before. A palette that this time includes more hard rock, and also more folk and prog rock influences, without losing the style from the first releases."

Second Sun started out as the solo project of Jakob Ljungberg (ex Tribulation) and have since then grown into a full sized band with members Adam Lindmark (Dead Lord), Sofia Rydahl (ex Gravmaskin), Marcus Hedman (Moralens Väktare). Since the first half of the album was recorded during the autumn of 2017 Sofia Rydahl have left the band and been replaced by David Grannas. The band released their debut album "Hopp/Förtvivlan" in 2015 on the hyped American label Electric Assault the immediate gave the band an international quality stamp.
