Formed in Baltimore in 2003, NUX VOMICA's initial stripped-down crust format vastly mutated over the years as the band expanded their sound into more unrestrained, diversified territory, a cross-country relocation to Oregon part of the equation. The band has carved its ugly name into the minds of underground diehards for over a decade through a cavalcade of underground releases and delivering their craft live through bouts of regional touring.

Blending the suffocating atmospherics of the doom/sludge with the raw ferocity of black metal, punk and d-beat, NUX VOMICA constructs an organic heaviness comparably hanging somewhere in the balance between Neurosis and His Hero Is Gone. Their self-titled delivers more than forty minutes of their torrid style through three massive works, creating an emotional odyssey into the depths of human darkness; a flawless combination of epic song structures with crushing melodies and colossal riffs with powerful dynamics.
