NECROWRETCH: Sign To Season Of Mist
January 27, 2016
Season of Mist are proud to announce the signing ofNecrowretch. The French putriddeath metal duowill release their next full-length on this label in2017.
Regarding their signing,Necrowretchcomment:"We are very proud to seal this alliance with Season of Mist in our continued putrid ascent. Season of Mist have always been a key player in the metal here in France, but also established itself internationally as one of the heavyweights of style. Joining this label is an opportunity for us to spread our plague over and over without making any compromise regarding the evil extreme music that always possessed us! We will build a new necropolis together in the form of our third studio album, which will be recorded this year. Prepare yourself for terrible doom!"
The French city of Valence standing on the shores of the river Rhône and guarding the northern gate to the sunshine filled Provence seems an unlikely place to spawn artistic works of rotten darkness. Yet when harsh vocalist and guitarist Vlad conceivedNecrowretchhis inspiration drew from extreme sources such as Finnish brutalizers Impaled Nazarene, Nihilist, and Marduk from Sweden as well as Floridian death metal acts.
Vlad was joined by drummer Ilmar in 2013 andNecrowretchimmediately hit the scene hard when their debut full-length 'Putrid Death Sorcery' arrived with a massive impact in the same year. Their strong roots in the underground were emphasised with a following compilation of earlier material under the name 'Bestial Rites 2009 ' 2012' (2013).
With their sophomore album "With Serpents Scourge" (2015),Necrowretch added some musical twists and turn that showed some influences by Swedish black death pioneers such as Dark Funeral, Dissection, Mork Gryning, and Unanimated.
Now the French are getting ready to record their third strike. Brace for impact, Necrowitchwill return with a vengeance!
