On September 15th MORGOTH will release the long awaited re-issue of the classic "Odium" album as well as the first ever official version of the band's legendary demo "Pits Of Utumno".
"Odium" (originally released in 1993) comes with improved artwork, some old photos, all lyrics (omitted in the original version) and an in-depth interview with Marc Grewe and Sebastian Swart. The sound has been re-mastered by Patrick W. Engel at Temple Of Disharmony (Asphyx, Exumer, Grave etc.), who also did a special vinyl mastering for the LP version. "Odium" will be released on CD, LP and as Digital Download. There is a limited LP version on transparent-orange vinyl available, which is worldwide limited to 300 copies.
"Pits Of Utumno" was originally released as a demo tape in 1988. The trailblazing release paved the way for MORGOTH to the Olympus of death metal. Now, 26 years later, "Pits Of Utumno" is unearthed again, with new layouts and a fantastic interview with the band's original drummer Rüdiger Hennecke. The audio material has also been re-mastered by Patrick W. Engel. "Pits Of Utumno" is available as a 12inch MLP and as Digital Download. 300 copies of the MLP come on white vinyl.
