Methane right now is on a spring European tour with Swedish melodic death metallers EYES WIDE OPEN. The tour is traveling to Finland before heading down to continental Europe ending in May. METHANE is now confirming summer gigs including Sweden's Metallsvenskan Festival to be held June 15-16. The festival will feature WASP, Rival Sons, Exodus and Satyricon to name a few of this years crushing line up.
"Metallsvenskan Festival is one of my favorite festivals, I have attended the festival a number of times as a spectator." - says singer/bassist Tim Scott . The Metallallsvenskan festival began in 2009 combining football and metal. You can see your favorite musician battle it out on the football feild and headbang on stage the very same night.
Methane has also recently confirmed a perfromance at Berlin's PROGRESS BEGINS FESTIVAL on April 28, 2018." Eyes Wide Open will be headling the event. The Progress Begins Festival is a gathering of up-and-coming progressive and alternative Metal bands. It will take place for the first time in 2017 in the Maschinenhaus of the Kulturbrauerei in Berlin, Germany. As well as the Northern Blasphemy Metal Fest in Stockholm Sweden held in October.

Methane formed in the fall of 2012 by American brothers, living in Sweden, Tim Scott (former bassist of Revenant and HatePlow) and Dylan Campbell together with Tim's long time friend Jimi Masterbo and drummer Andreas Strom. After gaining underground recognition for their previous EP releases, 2014's 'Southern Metal', and 2015's 'Spit On Your Grave', Methane was signed in 2016 by Sony's Dark Star Records. The band has also appeared on the soundtrack for Scottish mini series Metalhedz (S03E02 and S03E03) as well as the first ever E-Novel with music "How an Atomic Fart Saved The World".
February of 2017 saw Methane release its debut full length album "The Devil's Own" on Sony/Dark Star Records which has been met by the press with great reviews. Drawing influence from Slayer, LOG, and Pantera, Methane has created a unique sound that is strong and unapologetic. The band has been touring in Europe supporting the album and steadily gaining a strong and loyal fan base in the European Metal scene with a reputation as a high powered, energetic live band. To date, Methane has played over 60 shows in 6 countries on 2 continents. Highlights include U.S. tour, headlining Finnish Tour, Rage of Armageddon Festival (NYC,USA) Metal Inferno Festival (Sweden), Heavy Metal Heart Festival (Helsinki) and opening for international touring bands such as Warbringer, Nervosa, Whiplash and The Haunted. Most recently, Methane has been joined by a new drummer, Olle Ekman, former singer of Deals Death and Amaranthe(live).
