It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our brother and friend, Marcos Garcia.

Marcos was one of a kind. He never had an ego, never asked for recognition, and yet he gave everything he had to this music and this community. He would take any and all promos that came his way, and almost without fail, he found something positive and worth celebrating in them. His passion was boundless—he truly lived, ate, and breathed metal. His breadth of knowledge about this music was unmatched; none of us have ever met anyone with a deeper or wider understanding of the genre.

But beyond his love for Metal, Marcos was a kind soul. He stood firmly against dictators and injustice, always speaking up for those without a voice. He believed in unity, in peace, and in the power of people coming together. English was his second language, but you would never know it. He wrote with fire, with passion, and with everything he had.

We at Metal Temple not only lost a dedicated writer and colleague—we lost a dear friend, a true believer in music, and a beautiful human being. Marcos leaves behind a legacy of kindness, passion, and an unwavering devotion to the music he loved so deeply.
