The world is ending, guided by the Invisible Hand. Humanity, whose capitalistic and hateful disdain for its own has a firm grip on its own throat, is to blame, and it is through monetary gain that the Earth flickers at a slowing pace. This frustration -- as a minuscule part of the powerful in society's ill-fated loyalties -- is palpable, and the disconnect between the representatives and represented grows more by the hour.

"The smog surrounds, and the endless sound of those listless shouts sew our burial shroud," Lunar Ark screams into the abyss. Through earth-shattering sludge and skyborn post-rock, Lunar Ark's Recurring Nightmare speaks of a horror as old as time, intelligent life's own self-destruction through greedful need and quantified lust.

Breathing musical life into their leftist political views, Lunar Ark's anti-capitalist and antiracist view of the greater class struggle is paired with a suffocating sound, merging dazzling atmospherics with sub-underground rumblings. Recurring Nightmare seats itself at the center of post-metal and sludge/doom metal's bridge.
