INTERPRETER: Tell Tale of New Video "Welcome Home"
August 29, 2019
Interpreter was an idea that came about after I was released from former band Behold the Slaughter. I said I was gonna create something that would pass the limits of anything I've done, in my music career this far. I went to work and a guy named Cody Wilson said out of no where as Im passing at lunch one day good set the other night. Long story short I told him I'm no longer a member of that band, and he told me he played guitar. I told him well good I need a guitarist. I'm starting a band named Interpreter. So he comes over shows me what he can do. That night I began thinking on what would represent us well, I then began drawing what would turn out to be our symbol and one of our logos. So while all of this is going on I message throughout the music scene looking for a drummer and Sam Schneider (Inferi/Abyss Walker) says hit this guy up Brandon Stipes, he'd been asking about find a band to play drums for on instagram. As all of this going on I'm buying gear left and right to make this happen. Cause when I would hit people up they would say man I'd love to but I don't have this or I don't have that so I bought all the gear where at this point all you had to do was show up. Brandon, Cody and myself got together and I thought to myself we need another guitarist as well I hit up Brian Sisk. We clicked from the get go he was about math metal and so was I.
So Brandon emailed Brian a drum beat nothing more and he came to my house with the beat and thus our first song Aligot was written. Had it not been for Sam Schneider and Robbie Bingham that single would have never been released for they helped me with recording and releasing it. Long story short things didn't work out and everyone parted and I continued on the journey to make this happen. I hit up Storm Jett at the time who was playing for Field on Fire got shut down he said man I'd like to but I've got field on fire. So I continued to build the gear and network ran into a guy named Nick Gee (Hard Reset) we jammed for a while trying to make this happen and just write drums and everything ourselves. I had a guy couple houses down from me that played drums wasn't able to recruit him until I recruited Ryan Waldron which was a former guitarist of Behold the Slaughter. Finally pieces started forming together. He came in with two songs written The summoned and Warmonger. The guy up the street Zakk Brown was walking by heard the music and was immediately interested in playing. Ryan Zakk and I got together thus the song Display was written. Nick departed practice was moved to another location in Smyrna. Zak decided he wanted to play guitar. We recruited Taylor Sullivan. Played a show. Then it was decided it'd be best to let Zak go for the sake of the band.
I hit up Storm Jett yet again and he was on the verge of selling his gear I told him instead of selling you're gear come put it to use. He said well do you have a bass player I told him no we had a guy he just never came back after our last show. Told him we have a rig and bass, he then introduced Jeremy Arvin his first day coming to practice. We got tight a whole set, and wrote the song featuring Cj McCreery from (Signs of the Swarm/Lorna Shore) Dirtmound. We played another show and then another bump in the road came about Taylor was out of it, leading to his departure from the band as well. Few months passed I was walking in Walmart after work and I ran into Aaron Hugen I had hinted in the past wanting to recruit him on drums nothing really came of it but that day was the day. He asked how interpreter was doing told him just had to let the drummer go asked him would you wanna give it a shot. He was immediately about it told him to come out and let's do it. So he came out nails audition and Ryan had started writing welcome home sends me the song finished it with lyrics came back to him with it ready to be recorded.

Now the line up is stronger than its ever been our only goal from this point on is to strive to push each other passed our own personal limits as musicians. While also as band try to help build the music scene back to the way it should be killing all elitism in our path encouraging bands to work with one another instead of against only creating and more fun and positive environment for fans friends and family to enjoy while doing what we love to do.
