ICARUS WITCH Gearing Up For Paul Di'Anno Tour
•
November 23, 2010
According to an update, ICARUS WITCH began pre-production on the new single, "Tragedy", on November 22nd with producer Dave Watson (MANTIC RITUAL, CROWN THE LOST, DC COOPER).
The band will be tracking at Soundscape Studios in Pittsburgh, PA this week and look to release the song and video prior to the upcoming tour with Paul Di'Anno. This marks the first time ICARUS WITCH will record with an engineer other than long time producer Eric Klinger (PRO-PAIN).
The band comments: "The energy level is high for this new chapter in the band's career-fitting in that it will also mark the ICARUS WITCH recording debut of vocalist Christopher Shaner (ex-DIRTY LOOKS). The plan is to return to the studio after the U.S. tour and record a new full-length album for a 2011 release."
The Di'Anno tour - which kicks off in Foxboro, MA on December 20th - will feature Di'Anno singing the first IRON MAIDEN album in its entirety for the first time ever in the U.S. Add in choice cuts from "Killers" and Paul's solo career as well as a blistering opening set from ICARUS WITCH rocking new, unreleased songs and previously unplayed catalog tracks and you're talking about this winter's must-see classic Metal tour.
