HORISONT: To kick off North American headlining tour on April 7th

Sweden's high kings of heavy blues rock, HORISONT, have announced a North American headlining tour set to kick off on April 7 in Chicago, IL. The Gothenburg-based group, who have been called, "real rock 'n' roll incarnate", will hit 22 major markets over the course of the trek, which will run through May 9 featuring support from Dirty Streets. HORISONT is touring in support of its new LP, About Time, hailed as, "raw, unapologetic, subtle and scruffy in all the right ways."

Formed in 2006, HORISONT have spent more than a decade kicking ass, taking names and establishing themselves at the forefront of the Scandinavian retro rock revival (see also Witchcraft, Graveyard). Injecting their sound with early-Status Quo-styled boogie blues, prog complexities, NWOBHM swagger and fire-spitting choruses set to scorch the eyebrows of the first ten rows, HORISONT play as if their lives depend upon it. Dueling guitars do battle in an endlessly thrilling interplay over a rhythm section that gallops like wild horses and cutting through the middle are Axel Söderberg's howling heartfelt vocals, delivered with a space-age sense of soulfulness. The group has released five full-length albums since its inception and toured the world many times over, earning legions of new devotees with each and every live performance. HORISONT's latest album, About Time, was released on February 3, 2017.
