The release date of the DRYSILL album "Welcome To The Show" on limited vinyl edition is July 28th, 2017. The pre-order phase will start on July 14th, 2017 in our webshop. The Album will release in a limited Edition of 250 black copies with insert.
Iceland and Heavy Metal? Yes, actually there was some metallic life on this far away island in the North Sea. Vocalist Eirikur Haukkson, who released a rock album in 1981 and later on joined the Norwegian band ARTCH (under the pseudonym Eric Hawk), had a short appearance in Icelandic Rock history on DRYSILL's album "Welcome to the show" in 1985. To this day this record is definitely one of the most expensive and sought-after Metal-albums. Why?
DRYSILL's music is typical Scandinavian 80s Metal, which is upgraded by Eric's powerful voice. "Left ' right (The night of dreams)" is a good example for the whole album, which reminds one a little of the later PRETTY MAIDS. "We're coming to rock you" is a very catchy song, like the title track. So "Welcome to the show" has a very good reputation and is still in demand. The only problem to get it was that only a few hundred copies were produced and today they are more or less impossible to find. Finally this great album is available via the Karthago Records Heavy Metal classics series, so the waiting has an end for many collectors.
After the CD release 2015 follows the album "Welcome To The Show" in a limited edition of 250 black copies with insert on vinyl.
