Hot on the heels of their latest album release, Doves In Glass Houses, Las Vegas rockers DEAD GIRLS ACADEMY are anxious to deliver the goods to the live stage next year with the "Doves In Glass Houses Tour," kicking off May 21st in Birmingham, England. Special guests include OVTLIER, PAUL BARTOLOME and THE EDGE OF REASON.
As we battle to remember who we are during this chaos, we cannot forget our true purpose on this planet. I was put here to create and play music! That's why I am beyond excited to announce our Doves In Glass Houses UK / European Tour. We are thrilled to bring our new album to life across the pound. We love all of our fans and we cannot wait to see you all soon!
The band released three music videos this year - "This Is War," the not-safe-for-work "Addicted To Your Heart," and "Agonize." The bands next video, "Inside Out," featuring BLACK VEIL BRIDES guitarist Jinxx performing the violin, is slated for release soon.
On the visual imagery behind DEAD GIRLS ACADEMY, Orlando adds, "I wanted to venture back into my goth roots and create something close to my heart. I used to be bullied nonstop about the way I dressed and the makeup I wore. It was a constant battle! There were so many industry people and fellow artists that gave me a hard time about my stage name, 'Michael Vampire,' and the fact I tried to keep a mystique about myself. Nowadays, things have drastically changed for the better. You have artists like Yungblud, Palaye Royale, Ghostemane and even Machine Gun Kelly wearing makeup proudly! I felt it was time to bring back the old me with a 2020 twist and I am very thankful I did. I finally feel like myself again!"
In 2019, DEAD GIRLS ACADEMY, rounded out by guitarist Craig Pirtle and skin-basher Zachary Moore, teamed up with three vastly different producers to create Doves In Glass Houses - Malcolm Springer (MATCHBOX 20, FEAR FACTORY), Kris Crummett (DANCE GAVIN DANCE, SLEEPING WITH SIRENS), and Nick Sampson (WE CAME AS ROMANS, POLYPHIA). Orlando goes on to add, "We recorded a majority of the album at NRG Studios in North Hollywood, CA (NO DOUBT, LINKIN PARK, EVANESCENCE)."
