No. 10
Band: Hermóðr
Album: What Once Was Beautiful
General Info
Year of Formation: 2012
Label: Wolfspell Records
HERMÓÃR is of those bands you accidentally cross on Youtube and fall in love with. (if you're a fan of Post Black Metal, Atmospheric BM).. tracking my words you'll probably end up eargasmed and joyful; do it and listen to his work. Based in Sweden, this project band has been laying a lot of the records this year actually, but this one is where I have found my inner self, my peace; hence it's my no. 10.
No. 9
Band: Saor
Album: Roots (Re-released Edition)
General Info
Year of Formation: 2013
Label: Norther Silence Productions
SAOR. Being originally released in 2013 by the Scottish Atmospheric Black Folk Metal band and now, this year, getting the chance to hear the re-arrangement version you'll find yourself dipping into past and reconsidering everything, your thoughts, deeds, everything ' the power of music. The amount of raw emotion, aggression, yet ease bring this band on to my list.
No. 8
Band: Enthring
Album: The Art Of Chaos
General Info
Year of Formation: 2006
Label: Independent
Battling and grim-full ' ENTHRING. Being a fan of them since 2011 I can tell I was utterly happy when I copy of this album arrived at my address. The whole EP covered in veil of Melodic Death Metal with strong influence of Symphonic Metal is my cup of tea and I guarantee you it will be yours if you haven't checked it already. Top track and must-hear thing is "And We Dream Of Our Demise". I only mind them the length of this whole manifest as being only an EP.
No. 7
Band: An Open Letter
Album: An Open Letter
General Info
Year of Formation: 2015
Label: Independent
So, it was back in September when I was tracking down some good tunes and I saw a cover art that made me press on the link and listen to ' instant love. AN OPEN LETTER is a USA-based Post Black Metal band carrying sounds of sweet torment. Being brutally focused and feral is primal; being what you are counts. "The Answer In Her Eyes" is a song that will make you fall in love with them, their work and the whole beautiful "places" where Post Black Metal will fly you to. Ave.

Band: A Light In The Dark
Album: A Light In The Dark
General Info
Year of Formation: 2012
Label: Independent
What would you think of if I mention an initials to you? B.M; almighty Bogdan Makarov and his musical talent goes far beyond this planet. Among gazillion of projects and bands he's hosting and guesting A LIGHT IN THE DARK is one of my personal favorite; a Shoegaze/Post Black Metal project band from Russia and trust me, this self-titled album will blow your mind. The amount of feeling, ups and downs, self-struggling within an echo... If you want to meet this project band, please do listen to "Bleak Waters", no need to thank me; other epic track are: "Sweet Dreams" and "Sunshine", well you know what, listen to the whole thing.
No. 5
Band: Is
Album: When The Frost Has Brought The Silence
General Info
Year of Formation: 2014
Label: Independent
Cold and shimmering, feral and gloomy; IS are one of those projects that hook up onto your with so easily and stay there for ages. Russian based Atmospheric/Ambient Metal project band will bring you ease of rawness most of Black Metal bands carry along. Don't be surprised, at all, with the sound quality or think it's poorly premade, it's how it should be. A lot of people find that repulsive that in the age of technology someone still lacks on the profanity; but, trust my words this filthy distortion is just want you need to relax. "Veil Of The Night" is my personal favorite part of this EP, but in general whole manifest tells you a story, and you'll love that.
No. 4
Band: Chiral
Album: Night Sky
General Info
Year of Formation: 2013
Label: Independent
Italian Black Metal never lacks on surprises with its deeply hidden treasure. One of them, in my eyes surely is CHIRAL, an Atmospheric Black Metal band blended with a nice dose of Folk. "Night Sky" is pretty much an hour of pure enjoyment. Teo is already known for his acts in VOID DE LUNA, then IL VUOTO self-released this manifest. The album contains 5 pretty songs, however long (some may find this boring, I know, but I love it). Personal ease moments can be found in almost every second of the lay; "My Temple Of Isolation" is the meet-and-greet thing if you're willing to try out some Black Metal time with CHIRAL.
No. 3
Band: Echoes Of The Moon
Album: Entropy
General Info
Year of Formation: 2009
Label: Independent
ECHOES OF THE MOON is Atmospheric/Post Black Metal band from USA. So, here's the something why they're #3 on this list ' he freaking rocks. "Entropy" is one of those albums born of out the human delusion caused by the surroundings (pretty much the fucked-up world we're living in). Amount of grief, sadness and utter struggle brought through easy, yet so generic riffs mixed with heavy distortions and delays/reverb is, well, eargasmic. Synths and other effects are on its place, the right setting and sound quality are amazing. Second full-length by Brock will show you how capable he is at making innovations in music, adding a lot of "industrial" sound he created a gloomy atmosphere within chaos. I only can add that I'm so agog to listen to more of his upcoming work.
No. 2
Band: Mesarthim
Album: Isolate
General Info
Year of Formation: 2015
Label: Independent
OK, here's the deal ' there cannot be 2 bands at number 1 so I had to, and it bugs me a lot because I HAD to decide my no.2 and no.1 separately. The one and only reason MESARTHIM is my #2 and ENISUM is at the top is that lately (last week or so) I've been listening more to ENISUM. So, first things first, Atmospheric Black Metal band from Australia born this year and, my gosh, their first ever lay hit up to the tops. "Isolate" is one of the albums you will make love this, pat, look after and hope to live another days just so you can listen to it again. Space Atmospheric Black Metal ' sounds a bit nerdy don't you think? Well, if you ever wondered how would universe sound like it could play music than, go to Youtube and type this. Perfectly set distortions with a lot of reverb, then the synths, man how they blend into the background. Just, close your eyes and there it is; the Orion's Belt, the Milky Way, Andromeda. I cannot submit you only one or two songs to fill that gap in getting to know them; just go and find full-album preview. No need to thank me.
No. 1
Band: Enisum
Album: Arpitanian Lands
General Info
Year of Formation: 2006
Label: Dusktone
As already mentioned, ENISUM is my personal no.1 of the 2015 and only reason why, well there cannot be two albums at the top. "Arpitanian Lands" is fourth full-lenght album by Italian AtmosphericAmbient band with a lot of Folk Metal influence , and it's a jack-freaking-pot. As you may have noticed that I'm huge fan of Atmospheric genres, Post Metal genres and I think this is the perfect way to close one bumpy year. This album contains a lot of different effects, verses, duets and somehow its name it is very suitable (like a beautiful landscape). Again, in my humble opinion the set-up for this album is well made and it properly worked out; once again filthy distortions combined with echoing effects are a great score. While listening to this album, in my head, I saw a picture of a mountain place covered with a thick layer of snow, while the sky is grimed, an utter abyssal place. In and out, there were a lot of manifest this year, but these 10 left the biggest marks on me.
