One of the leading underground metal and dark electronics indoor festivals "Armageddon Descends" will be held on 25-26th April. This year the 7th edition of the festival held in Vilnius, Lithuania will offer 15 acts of heavy music and visual arts from ten European countries. The event will be traditionally located in of the most unique venues of Vilnius - "Kablys" (The Hook) with two stages, an art exhibition area and much more.
One of the most prominent guests of the seventh edition will be the legendary Finnish black metal brigade Horna. The collective now counting its 25 year of existence has a solid history of two dozens of releases. They are the first heavy metal band in Finland to have gained international recognition. This will be their 3rd visit on Lithuanian soil after more than six years.
Fans of heavy psychedelic sounds will be delighted to hear Italian occult doom metal act Caronte with their mysterious and shamanic aura. One of Poland's most deadly death metal bands Azarath will make their first appearance in the capital of Lithuania in history.
The dark electronics stage will be headlined by German act Triarii. The artist is known by his slow, cold, atmospheric and subtle sound entangled in decadent concepts.
No less intriguing are emerging names like Kevlar from the United Kingdom and Norwegians Dødsmaskin, whose music is dominated by noise and industrial.
During the event, visitors will be able to see an art exhibition by Italian artist Raoul Mazzero, better known under the pseudonym of View from the Coffin. The artist has collaborated with numerous extreme music bands and festivals in the West. He is also the author of this year's poster for "Armageddon Descends VII".
In addition to the aforementioned artists, the following bands will also perform on April 25th: Kaosophia (Ukraine), Krypts (Finland), Nahash (Lithuania), Karkasas (Lithuania), Vėlių Namai (Lithuania), Velemara (Lithuania).
The festival will be crowned with an after party on Sunday, April 26th at "Narauti" music club with two well known underground names that don't need an introduction - Slovaks Malokarpatan and Czech's Cult of Fire. The later will present their new long-awaited double album "Moksha / Nirvana".
"Armageddon Descends VII" will take place on April 25-26 in Vilnius, at "Kablys" (The Hook) and "Narauti" music clubs.
