Quiet Riot

"By and large, there is no music industry anymore"…
-Frankie Banali (Quiet Riot)

In the early 80's, Heavy Metal had begun to gain commercial traction in the mainstream media, but the genre took over the world and was launched into the stratosphere when QUIET RIOT released the epic record, "Metal Health". It became the first Heavy Metal album to reach #1 on the Billboard Charts and the 80's went on to become the greatest era in recorded music history. More than three decades later, QR continues to write and record the kind of music that once dominated the musical landscape, producing platinum records like never before. Drummer Frankie Banali recently spoke with Metal Temple's Jeff Legg about QUIET RIOT's new album, "Road Rage", as well as how the industry has changed, the recent lineup change and the addition of new lead singer, James Durbin, and being enshrined into the Hall of Heavy Metal History
