There's only one thing to do when the Mayor names a day after you, if you're Las Vegas' hardest working band, the Sin City Sinners, you go out and set a new World Record! On August 27th, Sin City Sinners became the first band to perform 24 sets in 24 hours!

The event took place at Danny "The Count" Koker's club Count's Vamp'd and doubled as a benefit to raise money for the NSPCA (No Kill animal shelter). The marathon event began weds at 8pm and wrapped up Thursday at 8pm with hundreds of spectators filing in and out throughout to witness history. The band never once left the venue and most never slept more than 30 minutes.

"I knew we had to do something big, this band has had a history of doing big events to raise awareness and give back to the community. It wasn't until the 11 hour mark that I started thinking this wasn't my most thought out idea," said band manager Jason Green, who also hosted the event, including a live raffle with Olivia Black (Pawn Stars).

The band did receive a little help along the way from some friends who came out to jam for the cause including Phil Lewis and Scotty Griffin of L.A Guns, Paul Shortino (Rough Cutt, Quiet Riot) Oz Fox (Stryper) and a host of other great local musicians.

"This is by far the craziest thing I've been part of in my musical career and I was in Faster Pussycat," said Sin City Sinners guitarist Brent Muscat with a smile.

The proclamation from Las Vegas Mayor Carolyn Goodman stated that Sin City Sinners were being recognized for the charitable impact they have made in the community, raising over One Million Dollars and being at the forefront of Las Vegas' burgeoning music scene by bringing attention to the city's numerous entertainment establishments.

Sin City Sinners is Brent Muscat, Michael Ellis, Rob Cournoyer and Joshua Alan - original Sinners singer/guitarist Todd Kerns was on tour with Slash and unable to attend.

The Sinners have no plans to rest, in addition to their jam packed concert schedule, they will walk to raise money in the fight against Cystic Fibrosis on the UNLV Campus on October 18th.
