BLUES PILLS: Rocking For The World Champion
June 12, 2014
No, the 35-year-old world light heavyweight world champion Jürgen Brähmer won't be needing any blue pills for a long time to come! But any boxer needs an appropriate musical escort when walking down to the ring. For his title defense versus Argentinian Roberto Bolonti on June 07, 2014 at Schwerin Sport- and Congresshall (live broadcast at ARD starts at 23:10 CET) blues rock band BLUES PILLS will play their hit song 'Devil Man' to accompany Brähmer's path to the ring. "I like it to be rocking, I really enjoy this song", states the light heavyweight world champion.
BLUES PILLS have a global reputation to be "the next big thing" in rock music. The youngster-band ' singer Elin Larsson is in her early twenties, guitarist Dorian Sorriaux only 18 ' is looking forward to their performance in Schwerin. "We want to give Jürgen Brähmer an extra amount of motivation and a warm welcome to the hall. The fans will be rocking off since it's his hometown", states vocalist Larsson. The music of the "blue pills" appeals to young and old people alike. The band's blues rock could be coming directly from the 70s. Vocalist Elin Larsson sounds like a blend of Janis Joplin and Aretha Franklin. The international band (Larsson is a native Swede, Sorriaux French and bassist Zack Anderson and drummer Cory Berry are both from California/USA) already performed at renowned WDR Rockpalast.
