Stoney Curtis Band - Acid Blues Experience album cover

The Stoney Curtis Band has been working the clubs between Los Angeles and Las Vegas for five years honing their own brand of psychedelic blues Rock, prepping their show for the road ahead. Heavily steeped in 60's/70's psychedelia, the Stoney Curtis Band  has translated the energy of their phenomenal live shows into the grooves of Acid Blues Experience.
In the tradition of classic blues Rock power trios such as the Jimi Hendrix Experience, Cream and Stevie Ray Vaughn and Double Trouble, the Stoney Curtis Band centers around their lead singer/lead guitarist Stoney Curtis who is, without a single doubt, one of the most impressive strat players on the circuit today.
Here you can find psychedelic blues based Rock, fueled by Stoney's non-stop guitar pyrotechnics and accompanied by the tough background created by players such as Colby Smith on bass and Charles Glover II on drums. There are also many blues, funky and almost soul influences. The extensive use of the wah-wah pedal really intensifies the psychedelic colors in this album. If you like musical giants such as Cream, SRV, Jimie Hendrix or even Robin Trower then Acid Blues Experience will definitely appeal to you!
It is really difficult to achieve and compose something really innovative and totally new in the fields and area of blues based music, such as the one the Stoney Curtis Band plays. On the other hand, these guys really manage to give their music an identity and own style and deliver their message with care and character.
If you're into blues then my friend this is definitely your record and these guys really deserve your attention for their honesty, their passion and above all their dedication to blues based kind of music.
