Weathermaker Music, the record label owned and operated by Maryland rockers CLUTCH, has announced the April 14, 2014 release of the new album 'Jetpack Soundtrack' from their first signings, Washington DC band LIONIZE. LIONIZE is the first independent artist to sign with Weathermaker Music, a label that has, up until now, served as the exclusive platform for all things CLUTCH and individual band member related side projects.

'Jetpack Soundtrack' contains 11 tracks and was jointly produced by CLUTCH drummer Jean-Paul Gaster and Machine (Lamb of God, King Crimson) at the Machine Shop in Belleville, New Jersey. First single 'Reality Check' showcases LIONIZE's precise musicianship, smoothly shifting gears and smacking you with a gargantuan hook at an exhilarating pace. The lyric video for the track was created by Agent Ogden (who previously worked with CLUTCH on the 'Clutch-Live at the 9:30' and 'Full Fathom Five' DVDs) and can be seen at www.lionizemusic.com. LIONIZE are kicking off 2014 by hitting the road for a string of headline and support dates across the USA. The band blast overseas in April as special guests on the CLUTCH tour. A complete list of the UK shows is below.

The Maryland-based band formed in 2004, learning to play music by jamming and listening - really listening - to each other. Now, ten years later, LIONIZE has matured into a much more powerful, tight unit, though they still hammer out most songs in the studio or rehearsal room from the basic spark of an idea. 'Jetpack Soundtrack' is their best work yet.
