Boston's Progressive Metal band "Protean Collective" will be releasing their up-coming album "The Red and the Grey" for streaming Jan 1st 2014 on Soundcloud. The official release date is Jan 14th 2014, and the album (CD and digital download) is currently available for pre order on their merch store.

"The Red and the Grey" was mixed by André Alvinzi. mastered by Jens Bogren (Opeth, Katatonia, Soilwork, Ihsahn,and Symphony X) at Fascination Street Studios in Örebro, Sweden,and recorded at Squid Hell Studios in Boston, MA. The artwork will be completed by the band's longtime artist, Bruce Kaplan aka The Underground Bastard.

This new album is the follow-up to 2012's "Exposed EP" which gave the band the opportunity to tour the eastern USA and play support for Scale The Summit, Three, Into Eternity, The Protomen, The Memorials (Ex The Mars Volta), Trioscapes, WovenHand, Howl and Powerglove.
