Rebel Meets Rebel - Rebel Meets Rebel album cover

Beware filthy motherfuckers! The new super group is here to pay tribute to the legacy Dimebag Darrell left behind and maybe continue this thing in the future. You had to see my face when I first listened to Rebel Meets Rebel. Many of you may have understood my love towards every Southern style music like Southern/Desert Rock, Country, Blues etc.

Formed by former PANTERA members along with Country singer David Allan Coe, REBEL MEETS REBEL were born much earlier than DAMAGEPLAN but since Vinnie and Dime did not want to confuse the fans, they put the album on ice, waiting for the appropriate time to release it. The time has and Rebel Meets Rebel has been unleashed to your local record stores. Beware!

REBEL MEETS REBEL seem to deliver their own aspect on music by creating something you could never imagine to come across! Do you love Country and Blues? Did you worship every single second of PANTERA's discography? Are you an alcoholic? If you belong to one of these categories, it seems you just found your antidote. REBEL MEETS FUCKING REBEL FUCKERZZZ!!! And that's what really happened. Some rebels met and decided to play some fine shit!

The groove has the starring role in this album. Let's not forget that these guys (except from David Allan Coe changed many things with what they released under the name of PANTERA. This is the first time that I was 100% sure that this project (or band, we'll see) would kick some major ass! Rebel Meets Rebel contains some of the funkiest riffs Dime has ever composed. Even though Dime is jamming in God's garden, he left an album that places one more brick on the Heavy Metal wall. Rex also plays in the funkiest way he has ever played, using some slapping stuff and in general being for one more time the best rhythm section along with Vinnie Paul. Regarding Vinnie, I have nothing to comment on this guy. In my humble opinion, he is one of the best Metal drummers planet earth has ever known! Some of you who are not familiar with Country and Blues, may be a bit confused with David Allan Coe's vocals. This guy is definitely what they call him, a Country outlaw! His voice is unique, strange and filled with passion. There are also some classic country violins and piano stuff that make the overall result blow your brains to the wall! Even the production fits like a glove to the band since Dime's guitar sounds like a sharp razor (as it always sounded), Rex defines how should a bass sound, Vinnie creates an earthquake with his drum kit and the voice is clear. Would you like a Thrash Metal form of PRIDE & GLORY? You've got it! Still not convinced? I did my best, now it is up to you!

Guys, let me tell you something. If you buy this album and place it in your CD player, please listen to it as loud as you can! Believe me, this album is not a rip off for some extra money. It is an honest and fresh work from some guys who have already offered a lot of stuff in this music. You HAVE to listen to it! Run like the wind and get it NOW!!!
