Formed back in 2003 in the city of Campinas, Sao Paulo, SLIPPERY is one of the few brazilian bands to play 80ths hard rock. Without fear of being branded as dated or nostalgic, the group captures the same sound that projected to the world names like Def Leppard, Mötley Crüe, Dokken, Bon Jovi and Ratt.

If the main contemporary hard rock bands receives direct influence from the sleaze rock moviment - that prioritizes the visual and dialogue with other less technical styles like punk rock - SLIPPERY runs counter to any tendency to play a sound very elaborate, rich in melodies and catchy choruses.

All these proposal of the band can be checked on it's debut album, First Blow, that has just been released. Produced by Atila Ardanuy (Dr. Sin, Anjos Da Noite), the album brings 10 tracks that covers all the nine years career of the band, besides a cover for "Night Of The Demon" from the britsh band Demon, one of the representants of the "New Wave Of Britsh Heavy Metal".

Formed by Fabiano Drudi (vocals), Dragao (guitar), Kiko Shred (guitar), Erico Moraes (bass) and Rod Rodriguez (drums), SLIPPERY became known in Brazil after the release of the EP Follow Your Dreams in 2007 and for the opening-act shows for Jimi Jamison (Survivor), Jeff Scott Soto and L.A. Guns. The release of First Blow now comes to consolidate the bands career and to project it to all the corners of the country and of the world.

First Blow is already available on the best CDs store in Brazil and soon worldwide. The release show will happen on the next March 9th at Sebastian Bar in Campinas.
