STONE SOUR just added to this year's 'Sweden Rock Festival'. Here's the official announcement:

"On the release of the eponymous debut from Des Moines' STONE SOUR in 2002, many mistook the band for a new side-project by SLIPKNOT-members Corey Taylor (vocals) and Jim Root (guitar). As it were, the duo had been in STONE SOUR even before SLIPKNOT, and when the latter took a break the two released an album by their "other" band. The sound was more melodic than SLIPKNOT's - it has been referred to as post-grunge - and many were surprised by how well Taylor mastered "normal" singing. STONE SOUR released their second album "Come What(ever) May" in 2006, and started getting serious attention from audiences outside America as well. Currently, during another gap in Slipknot's schedule, Stone Sour is working on their third album for a possible August release. But we don't have to wait that long to see one of the currently most talked-about names of modern American metal at 'SRF'."
