The last date of WHILE SHE SLEEPS' headline UK tour hits Manchester tonight to a sold out Manchester's O2 Ritz venue, and it is expected to be heavier than ever. Supporting the northern kings this evening are BLOOD YOUTH, who are bringing catchy Yorkshire Metalcore to the stage, and rockers COUNTERFEIT, who are set to supply a lighter note to the evening.

Coming on to the stage to a rapidly growing crowd, BLOOD YOUTH blow everyone away with their passion-fuelled set.

 

Holding nothing back, the band open up with "I Remember", "24/7" and "Making Waves", having the crowd jumping up and down and getting the pits going early in the night.

 

Vocalist Kaya Tarsus belts his heart out to songs such as "Closure" and "Failure", with drummer Sam Hallet providing backup vocals to get the band even louder.

 

BLOODY YOUTH are one British band to certainly keep an eye on. They are full of energy and determination, and this band could easily be sub-headlining shows sooner than you think.

With a packed out venue and the lights low, COUNTERFEIT pounce on with "As Yet Untitled" getting the crowd roaring and jumping, and it is quite obvious that the girls in the front row are here for them.

 

The lightest band of the night COUNTERFEIT know how to rock like real rockstars – from crowd sing-alongs to jumping into the audience to get everyone even more riled up, this band are complete performers in every sense.

 

Actor-turned-vocalist Jamie Campbell Bower is ever so charismatic whilst running around the stage and swinging his guitar around his body without missing a single word; singing "Enough" brings out the best of his voice.

Whilst most bands would be tired and worn out by the last date of their tour, these boys pull out all the stops for one of the biggest shows they've ever played.

 

Opening up with title track of their latest album "You Are We" they send the crowd flying over the barriers and screaming the words back at the band. Yet it's band classic "Seven Hills" that has the floor shaking from the sheer excitement of the fans.

 

WHILE SHE SLEEPS seem more passionate than ever with their performance. Vocalist Lawrence Taylor's vocals have improved so much since their first release, showing real growth in live shows, with Mat Welsh on guitars & backing vocals giving the performance even more ferocity.

 

The band play a stellar setlist that stretches across their discography, getting the old school fans singing their hearts out to "Crows" whilst newer fans of the band chant along to "Silence Speaks"; they have truly made every single fan in the room happy tonight.

 

WHILE SHE SLEEPS have proven that they continue to posses the same love and excitement even after spending over 10 years together as a band. They are still giving it 110%, just as they did in the beginning.
