Ho99o9.First on stage is PRIMITVE WEAPONS who are loud and crazy yet unique in their style, these guys know they have a lot to contend with and they blow everyone out of the way with their aggression.
Most of the crowd may not know the NYC band but there are a devout group in the audience giving their all in support and by the end of their set all of the attendee's are headbanging and screaming back. A Dillinger show in 2017 wouldn't be right without a political rant so it was right that the band started with a Fuck Donald Trump rant. PRIMITIVE WEAPONS are a band full of rage and energy, hungry for progression and willing to prove their way to the top.
If you have no idea who HO99O9 are then you will either be surprised or absolutley terrified.
This is a group that proves that punk is far from dead, balaclava's, dresses and pouring cornflakes on each other is the new in thing from one of the craziest live bands to see.
The Rock City crowd were confused at first by the trio dropping heavy beats followed by killer riffs but by the end of the set you had the filled out crowd head banging away.
If you like DEATH GRIPS then HO9909 is your new favourite band. Loud, insane and leaving you in a state of confusion.
Last on is the eagerly awaited THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN and before ''Limerent Death'' has began the band are already throwing mic stands on the floor and jumping off amps.
Vocalist Greg Puciato is still as crazy as his reputation holds, pure aggression but still holding perfect growls while guitarist Ben Weinman is storming into the crowd and escaping security guards. This is a band that has a reputation of not giving a singular fuck, they are going out the hardest way they can. The set list comprises of songs from all era's, something for old fans and new with tracks like ''Black Bubblegum'', ''Prancer'', ''Sugar Coated Sour'' and pit starter ''43% Burnt''.
THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN prove over and over again how they wreck the place with their flow of crowd surfers, mic destroying and crushing anger in their music. It's a shame to see them leave but fans know that was one of the best shows that they will ever see live.
