Glenn Hughes
, the voice of Rock, has just begun a new world tour playing classics from the bands he played with and also from his solo career, surely we don't need any introduction about his amazing career I am sure everyone knows who the man is with no doubts, for those who don't know, well shame on you! For this tour Glenn Hughes has recruited Swedish powerhouse madman Pontus Engborg for the drums and for the guitar duties the charismatic Doug Aldrich, formerly guitar player with WHITE SNAKE, DIO and REVOLUTION SAINTS, so the ingredients for success seem to be spot on, and it was indeed because the fans were very hungry and they left the venue feeling gobsmacked!!!The tour began in Peru and from there they flew to Sao Paulo and I had the honour to pick them up from the airport and they arrived on very good moods, very cool and charismatic people and Mr Hughes was talking and telling jokes and stories on the way to Limeira. Very cool and quite funny as well, the man is a living legend and deserves all respect from all. This time of the year we should be having a chill weather because its winter, but not really since it's fucking hot instead and people did not matte; the venue was full, actually it got sold out in the first week of the sales and 700 hundred people came from everywhere in the state and also outside the state, all hell was ready to break loose!
Brazil had six dates with Mr Hughes and the kick off was here in Limeira and at 10pm on the dot Glenn Hughes and band came forth and delivered what was to be one of the best shows here at Bar Da Montanha. An epic performance for every fan to melt way and never to forget this day, opening act was "Stormbringer"; a classic form his era with DEEP PURPLE. The crowd was going insane, for many or actually for everyone a dream coming true, these guys starting their world tour here in this humble tow at this humble bar, people could not believe it really. "Orion" was next from the 2005 album "Soul Mover" and the fans were stoked by Mr Hughes style and it was just the beginning.
