From the very beginning the band proved that they were here to make their mark on London any way they could and with every way possible the audience showed just that. As of what I saw from SHREDHEAD's performance they came on with an aggressive and powerful resemblance to that of PANTERA with the speed and power of what I could only describe as a unique force of destructive and aggressive prowess to which I felt made this band something to look out for in the near future. More importantly this is a band that was able to create a presence that would truly make them stand out through the start and in my opinion the entire show, in my personal opinion there are some bands that make a presence and there are some that just bore the crowd; luckily for SHREDHEAD they were an opening band which certainly did not disappoint.
We now come to a band that needs no introduction, and certainly a band that I have been waiting to see for a long time and man was I not disappointed with what would come. From the start of their set HATE brought a storm of dark and destructive sounds to which would bring it all together and show that HATE is certainly a band that is still bringing it hard and even harder live which is just incredible to see live. Now as I said before HATE is a band that I have been waiting a long time to see and I have to say I was certainly not disappointed by what I saw. In every way possible we saw a performance from a band that takes it as serious as they come and shows it with every song, now with a lot of bands you can never really know what to expect but when it comes to a Blackened Death sound HATE certainly show just how deep they are in the darkness of this Metal world we live in. To conclude on HATE's set they were certainly worth waiting for and I'm sure the audience at the Underworld would agree.
We now come to the part of the show where we enter "The Morbid Reich". From the very start of Vader's set they started off with "Abandon All Hope" and "Go To Hell" off the new record "Tibi Et Igni", two of the strongest off of the new record if I may say so myself and I can say the same for the audience as well. With everything kicking off the way it should we saw VADER burst into some of their more know material from over the years showing that the material has grown and has gained more power with every performance. From the last time I saw VADER on the Back To The Black tour I can say that VADER have matured in sound and performance, then again with a band like VADER you can expect the very best when it comes to their live surroundings. As the evening continued we saw the band head into "Sothis" off their second release "De Profundis" which, in my opinion, is one of the band's landmark records and certainly a record which still beats down the opposition. If anything VADER 's set consisted of older material which I think is incredible as if there are newer fans this would be the show to watch as it consisted of material from "De Profundis", "Welcome to the Morbid Reich" and the new record "Tibi Et Igni". Besides this we saw various tracks taken from "Litany" and "Black To The Blind" plus various others. For me this was a collection of some of VADER's strongest material as well as material that does not get played a lot which made this show both unique and also a show you just had to be at. All in all this was truly a show comprised of VADER 's most intense material and they made this show one of their best.
