The Brazilian winter is gone, and this was a warm and hot afternoon. But on this date, three bands from the city were playing a good show: UNEARTHLY, on another show of their new album, "The Unearthly", promotion, along with the quintet DARKTOWER that kept on the divulgation of their last work, the album "…Of Chaos and Ascension", and the Thrash Metal quartet BY FIRE.

A little delay occurred, but soon, the quartet BY FIRE got on the stage and made a very good show.

Their musical work cannot labeled simply as Thrash Metal, for it bears a lot of influences from Death and Black Metal due their members' experience. Alexy Facebreaker uses a very ample range of tunes, from low grunts to high pitches screams, and harsh normal tunes. Sammy plays good riffs and solos on guitars, as Azi Dahaka on bass reminds some moments of Robert Trujillo's playing and attitude on stage, as Luiz on drums shows a very good technique and strength (his stick broke on a first attack on a hat). But the sound quality was not so good, and it was a pity, for songs like "People Dies" and "Corpse Storm" show that their upcoming EP is going to break some necks.

Setlist:

1. Corpse Storm
2. Wake Up the Demons
3. People Dies
4. Piss in your Corpse

Soon after, DARKTOWER came to the stage, and made a very good show, one of their best ones to date.

Flávio Gonçalves (vocals), Raphael Casotto (guitars), Bruno Valente (bass guitar) and Rodolfo Ferreira (drums and clean vocals), along with Pedro Viana on guitars on the place of Tauan Rithmains (who couldn't play on this show, but still is on the band), they unleashed a powerful show, all showing an excellent attitude on stage (especially Flávio, having the public on his hands with good communication), they showed the reason of being extremely respected with their extreme Metal full of melodies, and with great and epic moments. And seeing they playing songs like "The Mightiest Being", the excellent "Lord Ov The Vastlands", their personalized version for VENOM's "Black Metal" (who was sung by many on the public), and their hymn "Human Like Fire", they got more fans on this night. And they are giving steps to be one of the greatest bands on Brazilian extreme Metal scene.

But unfortunately, the sound quality that tormented BY FIRE was on their set as well, but that couldn't take their efforts down. And they were praised by the public.

Setlist:

1. Intro
2. The Mightiest Being/Lord Ov The Vastlands
3. Dawn (Of Darkened Times)
4. Black Metal
5. Retaliation/Rise Of The DarkTower
6. Human Like Fire

Finally, UNEARTHLY came to the stage, but the sound quality again was not as good as it could be.

Eregion (vocal/guitar), Vinnie Tyr (lead guitar), M. Mictian (bass) and B. Drumond (drums) showed once more the reason of being seen as one of the greatest pillars of Rio de Janeiro's Metal scene, with great attitude on stage, Eregion being one of the best vocalists on the Brazilian scene (his communication with public is perfect, as he moves a lot and bang his head). And to see them play songs from the old days as "Days of Storm for Christian Souls" and "Black Metal Commando", along with recent ones as "7.62" and "My Fault", and the new hymns from "The Unearthly" as "The Confidence of Faith", "The Unearthly" and "Eshu" is an experience that your Ol' Daddy here recommends a lot to all of you, especially my nieces and nephews from Europe, where they'll play soon.

And at the end of "Age of Chaos", they played a bit of BLACK SABBATH's "Children of the Grave", a homage to the Metal fathers.

Setlist:

1. The Confidence of Faith
2. The Unearthly
3. The Sin Offering
4. Baptized in Blood
5. My Fault
6. Days of Storm for Christian Souls/Black Metal Commando
7. Where the Sky Bleeds in Red
8. The Dove and the Crown
9. Eshu
10. 7.62
11. Age of Chaos
12. Children of the Grave

A great event, indeed, and hope more to come with this trio of bands, but the public could be a bit better.
