The Bar Da Montanha gave a great welcome to a two great musicians who sang in the past for two of the greatest bands in the planet, Blaze Bayley for IRON MAIDEN and Tim "Ripper" Owens for JUDAS PRIEST.

It was a cold rainy night in Limeira but that was no reason to stop the fans coming to see their heroes, people travelled from far away for this show and around 300 fans turned up to see these two icons, I mean considering that the show took place on a Thursday night that's not a bad crowd at all.

Prior to the arrival in Limeira they had played two gigs in Brazil, one in Belo Horizonte and the other one in Rio De Janeiro,  Blaze  and Ripper in my opinion are two great singers each with his own style and having their own solo career and singing for a few bands as well, but what amazes me is the fact that both musicians have something in common or perhaps shall I say a curse, always to be remembered or linked with the two major bands that they sang for, in  Blaze's case (IRON MAIDEN) and Ripper (JUDAS PRIEST) same as it was with Paul Di'anno always live on the shadows of those bands, whether it is  good or bad thing I just don't know, what I know is that their set is based on what they sang with those bands and they kick asses for sure.

So it was already 10:30pm and Tim "Ripper" was ready to kick asses, I spoke to him before the gig and it seems that he was on bad mood for some reason but never mind that because when he took on the stage the man was inspired and begun his set with "Painkiller" yes, cool song and he did an amazing job, his vocals are amazing, so powerful what a talented man he really is, and the energy he has, must be all that energy drink he consumes, hahha, he played about six songs without drinking any water that was quite a thing really.

He played all the classics by JUDAS PRIEST and some songs of his own as well, spoke to the crowd showed an amazing professionalism on the stage and delivered a very good show and the Brazilian musicians that he hired for the tour despite the short time they had to rehearsal they too had a good performance.

On stage Tim "Ripper" was amazing, off stage I was a bit disappointed because he didn't spend much time with the fans and left for the hotel after his set so the fans were wanting to take pictures and sign records and Tim "Ripper" was not there, I think that sucks big time, I don't care about the reasons  I know we are all human beings but if you choose to be in music business I think then you have to be nice and cordial with the fans because they pay your wages and buy your records, so that's the only negative criticism from me, the show was fucking good.

Well it was just after midnight and Blaze Bayley was ready to kick some asses as well, he entered the stage talking and greeting the crowd with that accent of his and delivered "Lord Of The Flies" bringing back good memories from his time with IRON MAIDEN, his set was a mix of all the bands he played with and also his solo career, "Sign Of The Cross" the crowd was singing along, Blaze's vocals are also amazing, he has got his own style and sang beautifully with such professionalism and his charisma is huge. It was his third time playing at the Bar Da Montanha and the fans really love him, for me it was the first time I saw him and I was very happy indeed, lots of people didn't like it back when he replaced Dickinson in IRON MAIDEN but I think he did a fantastic job while were there and I can see why he was the chosen one to replace him, a great singer and an amazing person.

His performance was very good, when he asked Tim "Ripper" to join him to sing "Wrathchild" the crowd went into ecstasy, and incredible duet and what a great moment it was. "Falling Down" followed by "Silicon Messiah" closed his set and everybody was chanting for more but that was it, great show again in Limeira.

Unlike Tim "Ripper", Blaze was very cool with the fans, on the last song he said to the crowd: after this song I will head to the bar and have few beers and feel free to join me and take some pictures and whatever and he even tried to speak some Portuguese words, that was fucking cool, that's what I am talking about man. Charisma and that he had galore. Awesome stuff!!! Great show!!!
