Bar Da Montanha gave a very warm welcome to Brazilian Band NOTURNALL on this very cold night. NOTURNALL is the result of four great musicians who have something in common, that is; they all play with SHAMAN, so the idea was simple to join forces with one of the best drummers in the world and see what happens, well that drummer is Aquiles Priester and the result is NOTURNALL, that actually happened in 2013 and they have already released a full-length album entitled "Noturnall" a Progressive Power Metal and heavy as fuck.
They came to Limeira to show what they are capable of and they did not disappoint the crowd that turned up on that cold night. they came to the stage just after midnight and opened the set with
"Fake Healers" a very technical song not very fast but with lots of variations and very heavy indeed,
Aquiles hit the skins with a such perfection and spot on timing and followed by
"No Turn At All" a much faster song now, again a very complex song played by amazing musicians
Leo Mancini delivers some great riffs and killer solos while
Fernando Quesada does an incredible job with the bass so fucking heavy and working well synchronized with the drums like a Swiss watch and last but not least
Juninho Carelli working hard on the keyboards thus adding another dimension to the music, of course I have not forgotten
Thiago Bianchi on the vocals, this fella can sing, I was blown away by his performance on the vocals, his voice was very clear and he sang from the bottom of his soul.
To be honest I was a bit skeptical about going to see them all because of the rumours I had heard about them, I mean people were saying that they were a bit of a smug and they did not play that well and so forth, well I had to go there and see for myself, people talk lot of shit really because these guys are very cool, very humble people and amazing musicians, I think lots of people are jealousy because of their instant success, NOTURNALL is a hit really and a lot of people just can't digest that, Thiago is a great frontman with lots of charisma, he talks all the time to the crowd and makes jokes as well, a very funny guy indeed and all the other members Juninho, Fernando, Aquiles and Mancini also all good guys with tones of charisma as well and a very friendly attitude with no doubts, and I talked with lots of people who told me the same thing, about the rumours that they heard and what they saw was something totally different, jealousy people talking nonsense, shame on them!!!
It was a very, very good concert indeed, very entertaining and it went too fast, whoever said that time goes fast when you are having a good time is damn right! They even played
"Symphony Of Destruction by
MEGADETH doing it with their own style and the crowd went berserk a very good unexpected surprise.
NOTURNALL is brand new band with the right attitude and the music they play does suit them very well and they do deliver the goods and can kick any band's ass anytime out of this world. I really wish them all the best on their endeavour and if you have the chance to see them live do it!!
