Death metal gigs in this country are rarer than water oasis in desert lands. The billing was perfect since INCANTATION is Death Metal history with some diamond albums in their catalogue and KRISIUN is one of top five death bands from Brazil with tradition in perfect live appearances.

(Yiannis DK comments): So, after having a good preparation by watching my favorite porn actress from the land of VULCANO - yes Olivia Del Rio, obey - drinking some beers, eating Greek souvlaki and with terrible pain in my neck, consequence of something like an overdose of constant hearing the new albums of DARKTHRONE and IMPALED NAZARENE, I arrived at Underworld club waiting the other templar Yiannis ( TESTAMENT lunatic)D. After some more beers, we entered for this Death Metal holocaust night while other 230 souls were also gathered.
ESTUARY was the first band, that basically not only I didn't have listened anything from them but also I had not heard their name before. Ultra mistake. Very nice band, well - tight as a fist, unleashed great Death Metal that puzzled my brain. Coming from USA with a lady on vocals named Zdenka Prado I was surprised by her vocals and that... eh... they had Jack Owen for a bassist!!!!! I have to check them absolutely. And yes, the guitarist and the drummer were on the ESTUARY OF CALAMITY, a very nice band.

(Yiannis D comments): The next band that took on the hard work of warming the crowd up was the Greek INACTIVE MESSIAH. Even though the band is following this tour all along Europe, I just think that its music is not the best choice for this Death Metal team. The band - that was formerly known as WOMB OF MAGGOTS - is playing a mixture of melodic Death Metal with some slight Industrial influences and a touch of groove. The band was a bit cold on stage, not having much contact with the audience, and their set was a bit boring in my humble opinion. How could I not be bored since I was impatiently waiting for the US Death Metal masters to set the stage on fire?

It was about 21:30 when the Pennsylvania based deathsters got on stage to deliver their dose of Death Metal holocaust. Even though some really beautiful presences tried to distract my attention from the stage, I stayed strong and kept my eyes on INCANTATION, the band that wrecked the club with its incredible dynamic. Led by John McEntee, the US Death Metal titans did not have to be pretty energetic on stage. They definitely have been born with the charisma of making your blood pump through your veins with simple, but purely blasphemous performances. Even though two of my favorite songs (Sempiternal Pandemonium & Rotting With Your Christ) were not part of the set list, I can say that the band chose to lay songs from different albums, pleasing every single fan that attended that night of unholy massacre.

(Yiannis DK comments): After the bloody massacre that INCANTATION left behind the time was perfect for KRISIUN. I was in an up-level adrenaline and also I felt very jealous since I saw some SADISTIK EXEKUTION or PROFANATICA t-shirts from the audience!!! The Brazilian brothers were on the stage and... hell!!! They played almost one hour (55 minutes exactly) with a play list including eleven songs plus one cover.

Firstly, all of them are great instrument players. Of course we knew it from their albums, but their playing on stage is killer. Max is unstoppable, Moyses is a guitar-genius, while Alex has the perfect voice for a Death Metal band. I have to admit that the songs from the last one Assassination are better in live environment. For example Bloodcraft; I prefer one thousands times more in live version than of the album. I don't know, maybe it's more brutal, more violent... Same goes for Vicious Wrath which was the third song they played. The songs from Works Of Carnage were also perfect like Murderer - the audience burned the place to the ground. Special in the last track of the show one piece of the ventilator detached and remained hanged upon the ceiling 'cause of the stage diving mania. As encore they played In League With Satan of VENOM (also appeared in their Works Of Carnage) that was really bone-crushing, as drumming made it so brutal. Apocalyptic Revelation album was also honored with great performances of King Of Killing, as the last song and Vengeance's Revelation as a second track if I remember well. Very good was the Servants Of Emptiness from the Bloodshed, that it will be the last one unless the people down were screaming for more.

Another benefit for KRISIUN is that they were very friendly with the audience and they dedicated songs to the bands of their tour, to ROTTING CHRIST and to Mr. Jack Owen.
As we returned home me and Yiannis D having terra stunning problem in our ears, there was a big smile on our faces. Bring them again.
