Dokken performed two shows here in Athens and due to personal obligations I was only able to see them at their second show, at the known Underworld Club. This was the second acoustic show that I attended (the first one was with Soto). From what I heard, their electric show was great though Don's voice wasn't the best (oh what the heck - he's not 20 years old anymore).

With an academic delay, the band appeared on stage of the semi-full club. The show lasted about an hour and included more or less the following songs: Unchain The Night, Into The Fire, Braking The Chains, Alone Again, Just Got Lucky, It's Not Love, Dream Warriors, In My Dreams. In other words the band presented a best of acoustic show.

About the band's performance: There is no doubt that the band was really loose that night. There was a positive vibe between them and the crowd. They seemed to be enjoying this party-like show. And I have to agree with Don saying this was a party and nothing more - true, but then again what kind of party do people pay to be part of? The fact that between the songs there was a gap of five to ten minutes for smoking / drinking / laughing was fun in the first couple songs but not afterwards.
Don's voice seemed to have a problem when the level had to go up. Thankfully the acoustic versions where calmer than the original (electric) ones. So in conclusion, regarding the band's performance I would say this was an average show, but then again it was an interesting one too.

Just for the end I'd like to say a few words about a dozen fans and their reactions during the show. Between each song they screamed out turn on the amps. Ehm... come on guys, are you that retarded or what? The ticket you bought did mention acoustic show, right? Duh! The stupidity level in this country has taken a vertical limit drop or what? Are you the same people who complained during the Nile concert because the band didn't play any ballads or what? I rest my case...
