Exclusive!!! OH YEAH!!!! Welcome to 2001's heavy metal sound, the way that metal should sound. An unbelievable surprise from the Greek rather upcoming band Less Than Human.

To be honest I was expecting with big impatience their new release, since I consider them as one of the most progressive bands of the extreme metal sound now days. But I wasn't sure about the result or the date. Less Than Human surprised me with a self-titled release, called More Than Evil which is a promo release only for labels and Metal Temple is the only Internet Magazine that has the opportunity to review it.

The release of their debut album To Breed True, at last year, prepared me for something very experimental, heavy and brutal... something which it could surprise the whole metal spectrum. And that is exactly what we got here. Excellent!! More Than Evil, in my opinion, it's the native progress of To Breed True in a more raw, brutal and experimental genre. The dark and extremely heavy production fits perfectly with the unstable guitars and offer us a new thrash - core sound. The vocals are clearer in regard with the past without losing their unworldly, brutal and raw character. The compositions, helped by the smashing production, give us the feeling to kick some ass and bang our head for HOURS! By the way, guys where did you find this drummer? His speed, technique and certainty are something phenomenal for the Greek data.

This is a masterpiece from the songwriting point of view, the technical angle and they have put plenty of callousness too. Every ingenue, who has dare their debut album, for any reason, should feel shame. Four tracks full of anger, corruption, high technical quality and melody. Life Time Pause, Kneel, Bleed, Fade, Stealth Mode and Burning Id are more than satisfied to make you want, to bomb the whole world. In track number 3, Stealth Mode, Sakis from Rotting Christ take a friendly part by singing some lyrics, with black metal voice, alternately with the bands vocalist. It's fairly experimental to put black metal vocals in a heavy thrash - core song but it fits absolutely great.

Less Than Human appears very mature, walking on the tightrope, which separates the artistic melody and the all-embracing animalism. I have to mark here that the guitarist twins lovers, will find ahead them a new come up asterism. I am sure Life Time Pause audience will not leave anyone asleep. The extreme sound in general has brute need of those directions and one day the value of Less Than Human will be confess, as their music in the future will find many holdovers. Keep on guys!
