Ghost Opera The Second Coming

I just don't get it; why do the record labels often re-releasing albums and call them special edition or deluxe edition? Personally I think that they just want to keep the fans' interest high especially when: the band is heavily touring an has been working for too long for the new album. The first applies to KAMELOT who are currently on their European tour that turns to be quite successful.
First of all, don't expect from me a Ghost Opera part 2 review since you can read my opinion on this very good album by clicking here.
So, let see what KAMELOT have to offer with their second coming. The album comes with a second CD that features the band's live performance at Belgrade. The recording is pretty raw since it has not been heavily re-processed as it usual happens in live recordings. Based on my standards I prefer a raw recording with all the possible mistakes that usually happen instead of an over-polished release. The setlist features exclusively songs from their last two albums leaving outside some of their classic tracks; this I think is one of the complaints that will you have from KAMELOT's recent live performances. Simone Simons makes the classic guest appearance during The Haunting that is always enthusiastically welcomed. The audience is quite loud underling the fact that KAMELOT are in their prime time. The overall sound quality is pretty good even though the drums sound a little bit louder than necessary getting the guitars and vocals one step behind. This CD comes with the remixed edition of Rule The World as bonus track that featuring an almost annoying dancing/club feeling making me wonder why do they have to do this remixes?
In order to make the release more enticing they have added live footage from Belgrade with the song Memento Mori and the video clip for Human Stain.
To sum things up I think that whoever has not bought the original version of the album then this re-release is the perfect treat for them. The rest of us we can still be satisfied from the first version leaving the second coming for the KAMELOT collectors. Sorry no rating here.
